here in Australia on Be-In sports, thats the third time in a month now. To all the other expats around the Empire, I hope the game is live for you as well!! "If you hate Hollowhead standup"
True - pulled these stats from the BBC website, looks like scoring first will be huge for us today. QPR have failed to score in each of their last three away games in the Championship (D1 L2). QPR have lost 10 of the 13 away games in which they have fallen behind this season (D3). The R's, however, have not won at Ashton Gate since September 2002 (D4 L2).
Playing really well. Taylor smashing it at the moment. Must admit I thought the QPR goal was legit though, shouldn't have been disallowed.
A very strong and impressive first half. Agree with Rob, the QPR goal didn't look much wrong with it, but things even out as Luonga should have had a straight red at the end of the half for the foul on Tammy. Mark Little is playing like he did in the L1 title winning side which is great to see - finally, Taylor's first touch with the ball played into his feet has been awful, but his movement has been top draw and a lovely ball through for the second goal. Paterson & Brownhill offer more than ODowda in that position and Korey has been very good in the middle. Just hoping it's not another City game of 2 halves.... Must admit Freeman is looking useful for QPR
So far so good....but Joe Bryan is either very slow or lazy...when QPR counter he looks like he is jogging back. That's unacceptable.
I watched it here on the west coast of Canada and thought we looked very good. The disallowed QPR goal looked like our player obstructed Fielding, but perhaps that player was pushed, and yet I didn't see it that way and so we got the rub of the green which we will accept. The only disappointment of the day was Blackburn winning a crucial away match.
Why? It's now put Forest between us and Blackburn now. 17 Ipswich 41 -8 49 18 Bristol City 42 -7 47 19 Birmingham 42 -19 47 20 Nottm Forest 42 -11 45 21 Burton 41 -14 45 22 Blackburn 42 -15 43 23 Wigan 42 -15 40 24 Rotherham 42 -58 18
It's looking good, just need Burton to avoid picking up anything tonight, Birmingham are right in the **** now though, they've won 2 out of 23 matches, Zola worse than Johnson
I congratulate both Johnson and players for a fabulous result but it does not wipe the stain of failure from our season, let us be realistic and remember City have now won four of their last six games, having previously won just once in 17 league games before that run. A disasterous season bearing in mind all of the money spent and wasted, all of the waffle and broken promises. I am over the moon at the turn around and hope we continue to win, I wish Bristol City FC all of the best and accept that Johnson is here for a while but for the love of me I can't understand why.
Red Robin is noticeably absent this evening. Perhaps he's out drowning his sorrows with all those stay away fans- no wait he can't be as there was over 20k at the Gate again yesterday, clearly blowing his view of thousands staying away!!
