    The writing's on the wall.
Not been down Parliament St recently to check it's still there.
A lasting reminder of Bobby Collins' short reign at BP and his first game in 1977.
Tottenham puffs in Admiral couldn't deal with Warboys on the night, but Tottenham toughs in donkey jackets after the match outside were a different proposition for our boys.
Would be great to go out with a win tomorrow against one of our most difficult PL opponents at the KCOM. Beaten us all 4 times I believe.
Has Pleat been picked up down Waterhouse Lane yet?

    That was a great night.
They couldn't handle Warboys and Bannister that night.
I was buzzing for days after that.
    It ended their unbeaten start.

Won our first PL game against them at WH Lane, Geovanni having a goal of the season competition against himself after hitting that screamer against Arsenal the weekend before! Then Myhill had an absolute blinder against them & single handedly won us a point in a 0-0 I think the following season!

That must have been about the only night Warby and Banners clicked.
Smash and Grab? More like Smashy and Nicey...
Well past their Best Before date when they finally got their dream move to Yorkshire's No.1
Thankfully Houghy got King Keith in the next season

    Yes you're probably right.
My uncle raved about them when they came but they flattered to deceive.
    Did well at Bristol Rovers

Bannister did well. Warboys was always injured as I recall.
Bannister was also our highest paid player at the time.

And then we signed Trevor Phillips before his stint at the Equalities Commission
