Good start for you fellas, if Costa gets some form back you could do well.

Not looking too bad at the moment.
Hazard looks almost back to his best too.
I identified the main problem in our squad last summer in the CM position next to Matic, where we had Mikel and Ramires doing piss poor CM impersonations.
Kante will have plugged that hole (oo'er) so that addressed the main weakness personnel wise. (Though our defence needs some work too)
Now its just a case of the players getting their confidence back and getting back on form.

tbf it was a yellow, but the ref probably bottled it as he gave him a yellow for arguing and no one else got one

Generally good solid performance by us. Anyone watch Monday Night Football... neville has gone on to say he doesn't like Hazard's walking mode, which is the same criticism i've been saying of Hazard for years. Too busy messing about with the ball rather than putting teams to the sword.

I quite liked having Oscar on the pitch even though i think he's totally overrated because he is one person who will try to get in the box. The amount of times we see hazard pissing around on the wing and the only person in the box is Costa which mean we just pass it around outside.

I think i would like to see Pedro starting but i wouldn't want to drop Willian. Not sure if i would want to sacrifice Matic for a bit more creativity but having Matic and Kante around does make us super solid.

Thinking Conte will cut the clothe according to which teams we play.

    Great post mate <ok>
You should hang around here more than being on the Pool board.

Hazard does it quite often - after a marvelous run, he will go in circles around the box needlessly ignoring better positioned players.
Oscar is little bit better than Fab up front.
Fab getting dropped & Kante's shift yesterday give me hope that Mikel has no future.
Matic's creativity will improve and he can thread a neat pass every now and then.

Going by the bench last night,i'd say Hazard,Costa and Willian are going to have to earn
their money every match or be dropped.

    Same.
I'd say overall if you counted all my posts, the amount I have posted on the Liverpool board would probably be around 4 times the amount I have posted here.
This place is usually quite dead.
One game of Mafia on the Pool board probably constitutes a month worth of posts on here :)

I was a bit worried about out defence going into this one but i couldn't believe how comfortable we were. Their first shot on target was the goal wasn't it? There were some odd decisions throughout the game but anybody who says we didn't deserve to win the game is lying.

I still think we need a CB & FB to complete the squad assuming nobody else goes but it was a promising start at least. Hopefully we can build on it with another win at Watford.

My rule of thumb is this, when the player in pain is doing more rolls than an Olympic gymnast its not as bad as it seems. When you play footie, and your are Genuinely hurt, you arent moving for jack, because that makes its hurt more. The goalie was dicking about and costa made a valid but mistimed tackle. Its not like he came charging in from 20 yards foot first, some people need to get a grip.

tbh Ivan looks lot better with Kante in front of him.

Having said that - Cahill is hopeless in set piece defending and positioning. Need one more CB or Play Ivan at CB ffs.

For me, the key player for winning the Premiership again is N'Golo Kante. A great and inspired signing and he looked full of pace and energy in our midfield against the Hammers. I don't think Leicester would have lost to Hull in their first game defence of their title had they still had Kante in their midfield.

Exactly!! Last season - everyone was jumping up and down when I talked about a certain player.

In Modern day - your team is as good as your DM !!

    Agree with this.
Also agree Kante will be a key signing.
If we sign Koulibaly then its a job well done for me, as far as signings for this window have gone.
