This should be a walk in the park, 2-0 ; IF Jose goes with the following. Just my 2 cents Jose.. LOL
    Dave, Fab need a breather.

    Courtois
    Ivan Cahill JT Luis
    Zouma Matic
    Willian Rambo Hazard
    Costa

Oscar or Cuadrado can replace Will.
Fab can come on for Rambo when he picks up his customary first yellow.

Subs: Cech, Cuadrado, Fab, Drog, Remy, Dave, Oscar

P.S. Mikel out for 4 more weeks increases our chances substantially on both the fronts.

Can't see him playing 2 defensive mids at home, he certainly wont drop fabregas and Ramires at 10????

    Apart from that...... <laugh>

I think it'll be tight but we'll edge it. 2-1 on the night.

Might see Zouma drop into the back for his mobility, and Fabregas in the central midfield. Jose isn't stupid but he also sticks with the same team usually.

    I think 2-1 Chelsea aswell.
Think We'll go in 1-0 at half time, then score another in the second half, then they will grab a goal in the last 10 minutes to ensure a squeaky bum finish.

I don't see Matic + Zouma as DM
I see Matic replicating Fab's ping balls. Matic is exceptional talent.

Think Zouma will play alongside Terry with Matic as DM. Cahills' weakness against speed might see him on the bench. Fab will play CM, though I pray Ramires doesn't start. I also like Luis, Dave is not playing well at the moment. Very, very tough assignment, just hope we don't go ultra defensive. I hope we nick this by a single goal.

I'm not sure about a "walk in the park" Stan. It's a fair while since we had a walk in the park against anyone, but PSG are up there with the best. As much as I would like to see us give them a hiding, realisticly I'd settle for a hard fought 1-0 victory!

    Fab is Unanimous.
I feel if Jose drops Fab, unleashes Matic and asks Zouma to protect Cahill & JT - it WILL be a walk in the park.
Especially Rambo, Willian & Hazard will dismantle Paris on the counter - with their energy and runs.

We didn't get a walk in the park at home to Burnley or Bradford ffs. We go in with that kind of attitude v Ibra and co and we'll be embarrassed like Arsenal were v Monaco.

I agree - If Fab starts it is not going to be a walk in the park.
I am not saying - it is simples. But with the right team it could be.

So you're advocating dropping one of the best central midfielders in the world in our biggest game of the season for a young centre half whose played their twice? Can't see it!!

for the past few matches Fab is worse than Mikel. His recent Form is awful.
    Can't pick people on reputation.

And as far as Zouma as DM - the kid started there first time in the biggest match of our season thus far.

Would rather go out 2-2 than advance with 2-1. We need to put down our feet and show we mean business.
Don't want a squeaky bum like last year against PSG and lose out to Atletico et al.
I think this will be straightforward as long as Jose picks the right team.

    Que?
Do you mean what I think you mean?
There is no way better to show we mean business than to get through to the next round.

Yes I would rather go out in this round than limp to next round and jeopardize our league position.
If we can beat this PSG team efficiently - what are the chances we have against Bayern & Barca?

Well first of all, whether we limp through or smash them 5-0, our league position would be in the same amount of jeopardy, so not quite sure why thats relevant.
secondly, PSG are a very good side, so no shame in sneaking the tie by a single goal, and since when did that mean we would struggle against Barca or Bayern if we beat PSG by a single goal? So many different factors in football, its not as clear cut as if A just beats B by a single goal, they will lose to C because C are better than B.

If so it would be a gambling mans dream.

All I am saying is - the way we ghost past teams will give a tremendous psychological edge to the players.

We are not a perfect team yet - prioritization helps us to focus.
No wonder we & City didn't prioritize FA cup. Same for Pool & Spuds for Europa.

No offense Stan but you've lost the plot on this thread.

I'd never want us to lose, especially in the C.L. Regardless of whether we win 5-0 or 1-0, it'll make no difference in the next round. Barca et al wont fear us if we have one good game, they'll 'fear' us because we've caused them problems in the past, have a style that is difficult to play against and because we have the best manager in Europe.

Fabregas hasn't been as good as his blistering early season form but to advocate dropping him for a kid whose had a couple of decent performances is lunacy. Fabregas is still one of our best players and can produce that moment of brilliance to win a match. Too easy to see someone come in and do ok then get over excited. Zouma filled a hole whilst Matic was suspended and Mikel injured...nothing more.

If Zouma plays it'll be at the back or if a late injury crops up. Otherwise it'll be Matic and either Fabregas or Ramires next to him. Fab will start somewhere.

I don't entirely buy that going out helps league form either. Winning breeds more winning as long as the squad can be managed.

i just hope we come out looking to score and do not sit back waiting to hit on the break, hit them hard for the first 30 mins and grab a goal or two
