Martin Buchan just walked past me on St Peters square. I doubt he'd have been any worse than Smalling and Rojo yesterday.
You are still angry but made it out of hiding nonetheless. No, I admit I never saw Jose play at Real Madrid.
Honestly, thats the worst defensive display I have seen from Man Utd since we put 5 past the Treble winning team back in '99. Admittedly I don't watch United every week like you folk, but that was terrible. Smalling, Rojo, Pogba and Herrera were dreadful. Blind, I actually rate, but he too had a terrible game. Rashford was woefully out of position, as was Valencia, but they were at least trying. Ibra did all that he could also. I had a good feeling prior to the match that we would nick it, but I was thinking a 2-1 or a 2-0 at best. You will struggle to get top 4 playing like that. WTF happened to Phil Jones and Luke Shaw?? Mkhitaryan was injured right? Once again it seems like your new manager has failed to address the defensive problems and gone for marquee attacking names like Ibra or big names who are played out of position like Pogba (exactly like LvG did with Di Maria). Given that your new manager is Jose, I am shocked by this, as he always tends to build from the back.
You forget UNited's struggles at the Bridge over the past decade. We are also unbeaten in 12 v them. So they were playing their nemesis. Defensively, Bailly looks good
Yup, and worryingly, for United fans, it looks like he may face a spell out injured. I had forgotten about him. He looks decent.
From SSN: Manchester United defender Eric Bailly fears he has suffered a "really bad" knee ligament injury, according to Jose Mourinho. The centre-back was hurt tangling with Eden Hazard early into the second half and was taken off after 52 minutes of United's 4-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho confirmed: "He is injured and I am afraid it is a bad injury. It is in his knee, the ligament area. He feels it is really bad." Apparently, he has a scan this afternoon, so they will be able to see how bad it is, but on the face of it, with ligaments, you are probably looking at a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
Being outstanding 90% of the time buys you some grace. Being ****e 90% of the time makes you a target! I do find Fellaini's continued selection perplexing. Mourinho has a muddled mind.
If he is ok you are damned and if he is not ok you are damned. He will get fit and feck off to ACON in January. If he misses lot of weeks - he will be here in Jan. He is the only bright spot in your D.
