    Club made a profit in both 2015 and 2016 financial years. Looks like some of the outgoing transfers this summer were on staggered payments whereas our incomings were paid up front so Mikey stumped some cash up to cover shortfall.

    I'm pretty sure Ashley said, when he went on the telly to spout some crap about horses and carts, he wouldn't be going anywhere until the end of this very season. So who knows. There seems to be more 'proper' investors around these days, what with what's happened at Everton and Palace.

    I don't think Mike will sell us. It would take a stupid offer. You have to remember the guy has it good. Its a profitable business which acts as a perfect partner for his main business. Strategically it would make no sense to sell us when the PL is bigger and richer than ever before. Obviously everything has a price but I don't think he would be in any rush unless its really silly money.

    His exact words were:
    "I'll own the club until I die. I'll only sell first if one of the following happens:
    1. The club win some silverware, or
    2. Nev updates the prediction league, or
    3. Obi wins the headline game, or
    4. Captainchaos bangs Rachel Riley, or
    5. Hank picks the right horse in the Grand National, or
    6. Fredor makes sense."

    So I guess we'll be stuck with him for life.
