I said the same thing to my son on Saturday. This team/squad/infrastructure would get absolutely battered in the Championship. Teams like Villa and Newcastle would hammer us 10-0. Even Port Vale gave us the run around. The weakness of the set up makes Meire's assertions about promotion all the more laughable and delusional.

Of our team only Bauer, Tex, Solly (will need another RB to equal standard), Lookman (should he remain) and Magennis have the capability to play in the Championship.

Very different to the team who went up last time.

I think is it safe to say Lookman and Texeira won't be here for much longer <cheers> - interesting that Nugent is also under orders not to pick Tex.

Solly is sadly past his best based on his performances this season.

I haven't seen much the season so can't comment on Solly.

In my eyes our season started Saturday after the dross that was slade.

In my eyes our season will start when Duchatelet and Meire go.

At the moment it is a succession of elastoplasts plugging a gaping wound

Sheff Utd on Saturday should give us a sign as to how poor we are

Ahhh! Sheffield United. Another game I'm missing, only because I'm doing something better.

I'm telling you it's the regime and Duchâtelet that's driving me away. There was a time I wouldn't miss a game, that I was proud to turn up.

Now, watching a film and having a nice dinner is better than Charlton.
