Fox sarcastically applauded off. I know he's not very good, but I never like hearing that towards one of our own. It's not being sentimental, I just don't think you can question his effort. He's just..
worst performance of the year. left after the second and glad i did. no structure to our team at all. botaka cant pass, lookman wont pass. ajose doesnt run. our midfield doesnt tackle or move. still... more youngsters blooded so some more profit to be made for him at some point. we were useless. not a single positive to take from that game.
That was really bad. Passed off the park by a far quicker and far better coached team. Our horrible cumbersome midfield duo of Crofts and Ulvestad were exposed as the pair of plodders that they are. Fox had an absolute shocker at the back, regularly exposed and surrending possession at will. Botaka is a waste of space, as is 800k Ajose. The biggest worry for me is Lookman - not only a shadow of the player he was, but now behaving like a petulant and disinterested street kid, barely raising a jog today. And his free kicks and corners are f*cking shocking. The club is on it's arse from top to bottom. Bad team. Dwindling crowds. And a c*nt owner and CEO. Sad times.
Ulvestad is decent, he needs someone that's not Crofts alongside him. Peterborough weren't even good. Lookman did nothing, I have some sympathy as he had no support but he always looks so miserable, maybe it's just the way he runs.
Can't agree with that - they passed us off the park. What has Ulvestad done that is good this season. He is such a donkey he should be in the local Nativity Play.
Ulvestad knocks some wonderful passes and breaks up play, I think it's harsh to compare him with old man Crofts. He's the only central midfielder that knocks passes forward
That midfield simply doesn't work in any permutation. Lookman needs a good hard kick up the arse. Unlike most he has the ability, unforgivable to see him jogging around shrugging today. He has lost interest.
I was disappointed that there was no RolandOut protests. It's proof that they should never stop. Always keep the pressure on them muppets ruining our club.
Obviously I'd rather have a new midfield, Holmes is good and I think Ulvestad is good enough to be in the squad. Apart from that I'd like 5 new midfield players
Personally, with our outstandingly massive top six budget it's evident that the midfield is stronger than it's ever been. I'm thinking we need another three centre backs. It's the area that concerns me the most.
We won't go up this season. The team needs ripping apart and rebuilding from scratch. 7-8 of those players today are not good enough - whoever sanctioned paying £800k for Ajose deserves the death penalty. Ditto Botaka - did Thomas Driesen find him on PlayStation ? Fox is a poor excuse for a defender - I sat down his side today in the first half - it is hard to exaggerate just how bad he is in so many facets of the game. He has got a clumsier first touch than Pardew in a nightclub.
The atmosphere is dying at The Valley. I could hear Robinson roaring away from the back of the NW. We're seeing the result of nearly 3 years of chronic mismanagement. We need Roland Out ASAP, and even then it's going to be a long way back. There was so much more togetherness in the Posh team, they had an extra man all over the pitch.
@ForestHillBilly What would you say the attendance was yesterday ? The Club gave it as 10,100 I reckon around 1,500 Peterborough 1,000 max East Stand 1,000 max West Stand 2,000 max Covered End = real attendance of 5,500 ?
10,100???? Nowhere near. I'd say about 7,000 max. I sat in my old seat, and all the old die-hards who used to sit around me for years have gone, including one family with 3 young children, who for all I know will be lost to us forever. I was pretty isolated, apart from a couple of elderly blokes behind me who sat and watched gloomily as the horror show unfolded. They were all anti-Roland, but like thousands of others have given up hope of getting rid of him. A year ago a performance like that would have led to plenty of anti-Roland songs, but now just resignation.
