Rafa's Newcastle 2 points behind Brighton going into last stretch.

Can Rafa win a division title in England? He got a few teams in Spain promoted before his big break with a good team if I remember correctly. Newcastle almost certainly promoted now, but can they catch the southern softies?

    Newkie Brown vs Shandy showdown.

Who would you support next season?

Final game of the season. Liverpool need three points to win the title, Brighton need a point to stay up....

    Liverpool no question.

Liverpool are and will will always be number 1, supported them in fa cup games when played few years back.

Only time one would be different is if was last game and Brighton needed win to stay up and defeat made no difference to lfc.

Although if a Blackburn type scenario were to happen where brighton won and stayed up and Liverpool still won league, or visa Versa where Liverpool win and win league and Brighton still stay up then wouldn't object <whistle>

I hope they both get up this year.

Nothing against anyone else but newkie were always a favorite before that snide pardew **** and with rafa now its a second club for sure.

Brighton.... well they took their lumps last year and deserve it this.

I've always liked Newcastle. Always felt they had a lot of similarities with our own club. Agree with MITO that with Rafa there they would be like a second club to want to do well.

Never had an emotion one way or another about Brighton. Obviously since they're fighting with Newcastle at the moment and I want Newcastle to win they're a minor "enemy" but once the season is over I will bare them no I'll will.

Same about Newcastle. They are a similar club to us just crave success, even more so than us! passionate fans who want what's best for their club.

The lads on here are a good bunch as well and their board is pretty
much identical to ours in that respect, which has made me like them a bit more. Rafa being there obvs helped as well.

Brighton arent reallly fighting with Newcastle though, both clubs are fighting against Huddersfield and just want that 3rd place team to slide away really. Don't think either care if they finish 1st or 2nd.

Were so close 2 years in a row in play offs under Poyet and Garcia and then had horrible year under our Sami which was a shame and Houghton saved them from relegation then took them to within GD of going up last year! 3 of last 4 years been so close but his year looks like the one finally!

The club is ser set up for Prem football, 30k sell out every week, Big new training facility and an owner who is a genuine fan. It's been a Prem club in the making for last 3 years just haven't had the luck to get there.

If they get up and stay up for a year, then I can see them doing a Swansea and Bournemouth and making themselves a mid table club for sure as infrastructure is there.

I remember Brighton and Hove albion in old 4th div being homeless.

They really do deserve it. In the olden days it was a top flight club before my time.
