Today I was trying to take some money from my usual cashpoint, unfortunately it was not working. There was a North West Bank nearby and I was going there, before I got there I saw Habib Bank. To safe my time I decided
to use Habib Bank cashpoint. I inserted my debit card and followed the routine: generally I don't ask for receipt. Entering the amount I wanted to take the machine gave me back my card waiting for my cash, nothing
came out, surprisingly the machine asked for next customer, waiting and waiting for may cash nothing came out. I had to phone the number they gave and they told me that the machine is not their responsibility but that
of Lloyds Bank. After my frustration I went to use North West cashpoint.
Some machine would tell you if there is no money in the cashpoint, but this one was silence on this.
I have checked my account online no money was taken.
    Has anyone experienced similar problem?

    Yes.

As long as no money taken your all good dribs.

Only guessing, but certain cashpoints only take certain types of cards, yours probably wasn't compatible even though went through procedure, so issued no funds.

Stick to cash points you know and trust ffs.

    Should just add dribs.

Balance and available balance are the same? (Minus what you know is being debited obviously)

I remember another experience about five years back. i inserted my card to take £ 20 from HSBC (my own bank)
I took my card back rushing to get the train I forgot to take the cash. It was when I got to work I remembered
that I forgot to take the cash. I checked my balance online and the money was deducted. Surprisingly, the next day the money was credited back. I think after sometime when no one collected the cash the machine took it back<laugh>. My friend also saw cash in the cash point before which was not collected.

Had a mate take £200 from one once but forgot to take the cash the prick lol. Realised his **** up and ran back to it and someone was already using it.

Lucky for him they gave the cash to him as he had receipt to prove it.

yes the machines are supposed to stick the cash out and hold it til its taken and if its not then it takes it back in.

Its all automatic. you'll also be seen on camera taking someones so the clear wise thing is to either not take it or don't use the machine then.

On a related note....Thomas Cook phoned me up and told be that if I pay my holiday up 3 weeks early, I'd get a £100 discount.

As I was away all week, i asked the misses to transfer the £5.5k outstanding from our savings into my current account, which she did by selecting a previous payee......only for it not to show up in my account.

After several frantic phone calls by her to the bank and their fraud teams, she finally told me that we had to wait 21 days for a 'trace' to be placed on the transaction and there was no guarantee that we'd get it back. I was gutted.

Yesterday, my son....who has the same first initial as me burst into the kitchen, where we were drowning our sorrows, jubilantly stated that he had more money than he thought!! Problem solved. <doh>

    My son was gutted <laugh>

It's nothing special. All inclusive to Tenerife. 2 adults, 3 kids....though two of the boys are 16 and 15 so counted as adults. If you want to go in summer holidays you get shafted.

Get that ****e from all of them dribs.

The scammers are just hoping to scare you when they stumble on who you bank with by luck.

Most don't fall for it. But sadly some do. Esp the elderly who are mainly ****e with technology.
