Someone's talking about cash injection, but can't say how much. Read for yourselves and make your own minds up. http://www.footballinsider247.com/reliable-journalist-huge-leeds-windfall-way/ Just added this........interesting about 32RED http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/799724/Garry-Monk-Leeds-news please log in to view this image
Nixon has a point. Rad is bringing in well to do respected appointments at board room level, and why do that unless he was planning to bring in quality and experience?
hey'up Ell, Agreed, Nixon makes a good point, like everything else up in the air at moment (probably cos season ain't ended yet) how high and wide will the sought after quality and experience stretch? It's about 50/50 whether Monk is staying or going, but 32RED are apparently not taking any more bets on Monk leaving......interlesting, velly interlesting.
Not quite pal We asked 32Red for a price on Monk leaving the club this week. But chiefs from the betting giants refused to offer a market on Monk going. A spokesman said: “There isn't anything you can do to get the market. It is not available to bet on with us.” Its not that they have stopped taking bets, they don't offer it in the first place
Maybe they know he's staying and won't offer punters the ability to get what should be an easy win. If Rad has any eye on the future, Monk has to retain his place and be given funds for a serious push for autos next season
So there you go that's where you are at its been soooooo long now and sooooo bad you would happily settle for the likes of Monk
16/17 represents progress. We've gone from a mid table team with a few good results but no realistic chance of top 6 to a side that may miss out only on goal difference. In short, a year of genuine progress. To be able to push on to possible top 2 and certainly top 6 all we need is stability and a bit more quality
Monk will go just like Evans did last season, pity but they will look at him as a failure for not getting top 6.
in all honesty chesh I think you should have kept him but no way were him and Cellino gonna hit it off I just don't see Monk as the man to get you promotion too hit and miss you need a real leader who gets 100% every week from your players
Nixon is talking pish as usual. Last week he announced that Monk was 100% leaving. Which was news to Monk. As for 32Red not taking bets - of course they won't! They are closely linked to the club, so could be accused of influencing the outcome, or of having prior knowledge. Trying to make something out of nothing here. The bit that puzzles me is the 'investment' being talked about. Which form will this take? Loans? I thought the Financial Fair Play rules were very strict about investing in a club. Isn't there a relatively low cap on this? Anyone know the detail?
I certainly dont but if a club like the Wendies can afford a half dozen strikers without breaking ffp rules, surely we can manage a few decent money signings too. Clubs are comparable sizes and turnovers. There are ways around that ffp but it gets tossed out there too often in my opinion, as an excuse for lack of investment by owners
Buy back Elland Road (or build a new stadium) and sell the naming rights to a Chinese tech company for megabucks. Two new very high-profile business types recruited in the last week, one of whom has overseen Arsenal and West Ham's moves to shiny new stadiums, has he not ?
I thought about that not because I know but because I do like a good conspiracy theory. Buying back ER should be relatively simple, the deal was in place just the cost changed depending how long we took to take up the option. Maybe Radz is going to tell the landlords to foxtrot oscar and build a new stadium??
I like Docs theory, buy back ER build a new stadium and sell ER to the developers and make a big profit
