What is crazy though is that because County's pitch is being relaid (and hopefully vastly improved) they can't play on it until September. As a result they have to play away games until that time. For some reason they were put in the northern region for this cup and Burton in the south. You would have thought someone with a modicum of common sense would have switched Burton and Newport around. Both clubs would then avoided long journeys and had the pleasure of local derbies (well almost for Leeds/Burton). Us v Newport would have attracted a reasonable crowd whereas the 2 games will now be in front of relatively small turn outs. Then again, when making the draw last night they got home and away the wrong way around in the first 4 games drawn and I think they made some sort of balls up in the first round draw which took place somewhere in the far east. Common sense and brains in short supply.
West Ham have to play away as well. So they switched County to ensure they didn't meet. Now common sense to me says the PL side would find it easier to travel North rather than the L2 minnows!
