Saw this photo in the HDM. Take a look at the batter on the close up of the haddock. What causes the batter to be like that? Is it design (recipe, oil used or something else) or accident? please log in to view this image
Thanks Ben - noted. I've seen that batter before, had it and liked it - but the chippy I usually go to never seems to produce that batter type.
I'm amazed anyone from Hull doesn't know where Gipsyville is... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gipsyville
Be amazed then cos I haven't a clue and, as I said, nobody has ever said to me that they're from there. Nobody has ever even mentioned it in conversation: "I was out in Gipsyville the other day..." Nope.
I can recall it being a posher version of Hessle Rd, or Dairycotes especially, which is a good read for the uninitiated. The flyover changed the dynamics of the area and that was a pity.
You had the word, all you had to do was Google it. You were just being you. Do you really expect us to believe that you have read or listened to all of the Windass guff and never heard it mentioned that he comes from this strange, mystical place called, Gypsyville? GTF.
You could apply all that to any question asked on here. FACT. And why the **** would I lie about not knowing where Gipsyville is? Another poster also asked if it's a real place.
