Yes, but this was from last night's news. The News 24 piece was after numerous complaints were lodged.
When I see the BBC the journalists only want to criticise. To me they do not report what occurred and stop, there is always something else. This is more obvious when you have a Conservativ government.
When I see BBC journalists I long for a more critical view. Headlines, soundbites, and celebrities are common...analysis sadly lacking.
Seems as if fake news is everywhere. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...ny-cologne-new-year-allegations-a7581291.html
It's true , but it watched (stumbled on ) ITN yesterday with Tom Toryboy. Oh, my goodness, it's packed with comment instead of report. It almost lacked report, it was extraordinary. We now have a mainstream television channel (C5) owned by one of the most despicable people. 'The Great British Benefits Handout' has just trailered... It's bad enough that such extremists should be allowed to own a mainstream newspaper, but for them to own and run something that is the modern day "it's true if it's printed in black and white", namely "it's true if it's broadcast on mainstream television", is to the shocking detriment of our 'democracy'.
I do think some journalists fail to distinguish between disconnected comment and thorough analysis. There's room for comment and it's to be encouraged, but only if it shows a plausible, intelligent, unbiased assessment of the known facts.
True. But I don't want comment with every... comment, in say, the News at 10. Fiona Bruce makes comment via her tone in nearly everything she says as a newsreader. And it's the second syllable of newsreader she fails to understand - I'm not vaguely interested in her opinion. Moira Stewart (apologies re spelling?) was the best IMHO and the Beeb dumped her because of her age. That Tom fella on News at 10 has turned the news into some sort of 'show'. Everything has to be a 'show' these days, doesn't it? Like 'The Football League Show' we endured a couple of seasons ago.
I agree that News at 10 should be news, though I often shout at the telly when it includes items about "cute" cats or celebrities I've never heard of! Fiona Bruce does have very fine cheek bones though
You must be referring to her presence on the Antiques Roadshow - can't see 'em on the News 'cause she's sitting behind the desk...
http://evolvepolitics.com/no-bbc-the-nhs-didnt-lose-patient-data-a-private-contractor-did/ BBC and Guardian blame the NHS for losing patient data when it was, in fact, the fault of a private company - a company partly owned by DoH and partly by French company Sopia Steria. Laughably, the government's aim in using the French company was to increase efficiency within the NHS...
Not that much - from memory there are around 24 national dailies in Scotland & all bar one (The National) are anti-SNP. On an occasion such as this, whatever claptrap the English press come up with, the Scottish press minus one will simply parrot.
I doubt if the SNP supporting daily will report the fact that Scottish people consistently reject the idea of another Scottish referendum.
I doubt the majority of the English press will report that best part of 100,000 turned up in London for an anti brexshit March. But hey.
