I remember randomly watching "Liverpool TV" on my Virgin media package about a year ago now. Dietmar Hamann was their guest that night in their studio. Considering his time in the UK, he still had a reasonably strong German accent. To be expected of course. What did surprise me though, in that interview, was his obvious intellect and composure. He was sharp, knowledgeable and keenly stressed the importance of playing the game the right way, on the deck! I genuinely remember thinking highly of him after the interview. Will be interesting to see if his involvement around our squad continues to reflect these positive attributes. I think there is another bloke at our club who's intellect, composure and style of football also seems to be appealing to all. Can't think of his name right now..... Welcome Dimi!
He's got a bit to do to fill Chris' boots! I think it's good to have a German in the ranks, they are great at the psychological side of the game. Bit of a shame East Midlands Today spelt his name wrong
"I think it's good to have a German in the ranks" don't tell Captain Mainwaring that, DON'T PANIC, DON'T PANIC!!
