Strange how David Conn was the journalist who the families praised and honoured for carrying the torch for so long for them.

 

The Sun provided one of the most apposite examples of the disgusting way our tabloid press conduct themselves in the afermath of Hillsborough, where they tried to stigmatise ordinary decent people in the most shameful manner.

It's just the epitome of tabloid scummery, Happy. It's emblematic. Sometimes, a good way to make a general point is to focus on a detail

I just don't get why you, in Hull, want to burn copies of it, all these years later, when since then, the other rags act in disgusting manners on an almost daily basis, fostering hatred and bigotry.

Well, it's not being planned as a mass burning, and even if we wanted it to be, the council's event safety team almost certainly wouldn't allow it. There will probably be the symbolic burning of just one copy, which will probably be an old one that we can pick up easily enough.
