Well il tell where I stand I have a Panasonic Vera tv I've had for 15 years its still working well with good pics. Until I'm ready to get all these android and snide boxs I'll have to Wate until my telly packs up. Cheers for the good info
The Reason why is the tv some how will not allow me to fit These snide boxes Ive tried before I have only. One hid lead and tried spliters but with no success
I pay £70 a month, and I have Sky Q full package with multiroom and UHD, & Fibre broadband that gives me about 32Mb. Then I get BT for £6 but only one BT HD channel, the rest are pure bog tele, barely watchable imo. I give my two sister in laws my Sky Go login in exchange for their Netflix and Amazon logins. That I play through my smart TV, it's just called a smart TV it isn't clever, it's just plastic. All that kit to watch ****ING GOGGLEBOX!!! I hate it.
I thought it was just me that called them snide boxes. They can be alright but I've seen some where the picture quality is crap.
It's hit and miss mate. Before I came out here I watched the Sunderland match and it was almost HD quality, got the odd stutter but picture and sound was brilliant. Other times it is barely watchable and I usually end up switching off in frustration. Mind that's probably more to do with us getting tonked as well.
The best thing I did was get access to my American mates NBCSN account. All the games are streamed in HD. You need a VPN and someone with a US postcode to set it up, but its a perfect stream everytime. I've got a kodi box but never use it anymore as I just get frustrated with it freezing or bad pic quality.
Personally I wouldn't pay the ridiculous prices for either Sky or BT Sports... I attend live games and if I want to watch another game I can always pop into a pub..
I believe that a recent Court case has decided that pre loaded Kodi Boxes are illegal. There still seem to be some challenges going through the courts but the bloke who marketed and sold them has pleaded guilty and been hit with a £250k bill along with a 10 month suspended sentence. Been musing on this. As I understand it those Pubs that get the games on the cheap by using foreign providers have been cleared under EU Free Trading Rules. So what happens after BREXIT? The STAY campaign might have rustled up quite a few extra votes if they had run a scare story about 'losing your local Pubs Football' if we leave. It might even be true.
I watched the game last night on a good stream for free no problem. Would never pay for satellite telly.
