Don't give a **** what people think, I can & will call us Hull, Hull City, City. When you don't live in Hull, the term City isn't used very much. If you want to be really pedantic, maybe it should be written as 'Ull!
People still getting caught up in what to call us.. blimey. We sing chants with all three variants, "Hull" "City" and "Hull City FC" (the last isn't even our name FFS). We have no problem singing the songs but referring to ourselves as such in conversation is too hard?
How about because we change the words to fit the music, "come on you Hull" only works with Hull not City or the Tigers. We're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen only works with Hull City FC thats why its sung that way. On the other hand when writing is it too hard to call us Hull City?
It's funny because Redknapp is just following the same bullshit theory that 90% of this forum used. Thinks we'll go down coz we sold Snodgrass and Livermore and brought in loans. Now those people who whinged and moaned a bucket full because we sold Snodgrass and Livermore and brought in loans are whinging and moaning a bucket full about an experienced pro saying the same ****. Irony at its very best, couldn't make it up. Priceless.
Whether we like it or not for people who live in Hull, Hull is shorthand for Hull FC. It's the same for City. Nobody in Hull would think I was talking about Manchester City if someone said I'd gone to watch City. A minority of people may think that any Hull City supporter, knowing the difference and the failure of our club to use our name, was calling us Hull so as not to upset the Allams.
I've been attending games for 35 years and never once heard a chant calling us Hull FC. Hull City FC yes, but not Hull FC.
Don't you know anything? They only reason we weren't 15 points adrift was because of Snodgrass. Now we've picked up 7 points in the last 4 games is because of what he taught the other players before he left.
"Huuuuull City FC, we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen. And it's Huuuuull City, Huuuulll City FC"? Funny, this site has it the way I hear it: http://m.fanchants.com/football-songs/hull_city-chants/hull-city-fc/
