Well off topic but there's not much football going on. How many Tigers in the squad? Are they any good? Think one may have pulled out on the eve of the tour. Not the best of starts and I'm having difficulty in persuading anyone they will win a test. Any rugby followers got thoughts/

Yes Ben Youngs pulled out because his brothers wife has terminal cancer and wanted to be close to help his brother. A very good reason to pull out.

I kinda how they don't - warrenball is not nice to watch and tbh that is the point of the Lions, a celebration of the best of British rugby.

Ah I love it - absolutely hooked!! The best players around having to gel in the space of a few weeks to create a super team - the ability is all there but it's more to do with how well they can bond. It's gripping! The warm up games are always underwhelming as it's more about getting players on the pitch rather than putting out your best team, whereas the 3 tests will be intense. Can't see us winning the series, more down to New Zealand's strength rather than our own game, but it's one hell of an occasion!

Not sure how aware you boys are of Sonny Bill Williams. Talk about an athlete, the man is unbelievable. A set of three brothers named in the All Blacks the sensational Barretts. Ben Youngs, yes I recall now. Very sad for the family.

Lions now in my part of the country. Great roofed stadium makes for a great atmosphere and bound to be a more open game. Weakened Highlanders side so the Lions could well get up again.

Are you in Dunedin? I had a look round that stadium not long after it was built before the RWC.

Yeah I know Sonny Bill, he was over here for a while playing NRL.

An hour north of Dunedin. Wonderful stadium, been for rugby, league and footy.

SBW only won premierships with the Bulldogs and Roosters as well as a couple of rugby World Cups. Most polarizing athlete in NZ history, every woman loves him but two camps with the guys, those that think he is a legend and those that think he is a show pony.

Oh ok so north or south of the Waikati? I saw various wildlife on that coast and was told it was the only mainland colony of albatross in the world which is pretty cool. Guessing that must be on your doorstep then?

Aussies hated him and yeah some Kiwi's love him some not so much, very much marmite but then we live in macho societies and blokes don't like pretty boy show offs ha ha

Oamaru, centre of the Waitaki region, home of little blue penguins, steampunk and amazing Victorian architecture. I'm impressed you have been here. I'm not hard to find if you are ever this way again. Watch a lot of A League as well, wish the Phoenix would get their act together.

All Blacks by plenty in the third test.

What a series. Incredible. I watched each test in ONeils in town and it was buzzing
