well, i think the life has been sucked out of Bristol city, its become more of a chore than a hobby now, it feels as if i don't want to go but have to, Saturday was dreadful and i just really cant be bothered to waste money and petrol to go and see them when for the first time i know we wont win

when i walk into the ground now the atmosphere around me is just dull and lifeless, nobody looks happy, all i hear is how people want millen out............never mind it wont happen

    so back to the game

    Starting 11

    -------------Gerken
    Spence Wilson Nyatanga McGivern
    Adomah Elliott Kilkenny Bolasie
    ------Maynard Pitman

    FT: CITY 0-2 READING

    Monday Morning

Millen says " i thought i got the tactics right, the players are tired form the game saturday, i will watch the dvd of where we went wrong, we have a break now where i will look to see why we cant score"

    The suffering goes on..................

Same 11 as Saturday will probably be the case, upfront i'd drop Maynard as he did sweet fa. I'd have Taylor and Pitman starting, when they came on we looked a little better. The atmosphere is terrible nowadays lol.

    1-0 City with 11,824 in attendance ;)

Should we start with the team we finished with....NO...not quite.

The back three are getting used to each other, and can only improve as their understanding with DJ gets better, without Spence!

    the midfield...

WE have a glut of midfielders but,
Kilko had a couple of good touches and doesnt fight shy of a crack at goal

JCR to me remains a bit of a awkward choice, he does well has good touches but almost flatters to decieve at times

    ADDY........NUFF SAID

Marv ALWAYS GIVES HIS ALLand has a crack when he can

Skusey, I thought he had a fair game made some good passes, again he seems to be just that little bit short of the finished article, and often lacks inconsistency, as an attacking full back could become a handful has good pace...maybe 3-5-2 or 3-1-4-2??

I would play the 5, subs as I nominated Sat, Carey Bola Nicky and

Strikers, the and was Taylor ON Sat, we have Pitters, Steady and Taylor, but which 2 to start??

    QUESTION?
WHY REPLACE BOTH STRIKERS AT THE SAME TIME?...so that one or other didnt feel to much agrieved, or it was clever thinking..protecting NM, WHO AGAIN was playing poorly.

Pity we aint got Clarkie, but I think Pitters and Steady to start, Taylor on the bench with preferance over Nicky.
I think Nicky's lack of "get up and go" so far this season has been holding the team back, he did score 2 against Leics, and that was a statement...but to whom..To Leics to say hey look, this is how good I am come and get me or to us at the time, they "rate" me £6m give me a super deal! he got neither IT SEEMS !

He hasnt even scored to dedicate it to his WEE BAIRN!

I never advocate scores, but 3 points would be nice. ............

    off to OLD TRAFFORD

Does anyone know why Spence was dropped on saturday? he didnt even make the bench?

Anyway, my starting line up would be:

    Spence, Wilson, Nyatanga, McGivern

    Adomah, Elliott, Kilkenny, Campbell-Ryce

    Taylor, Pitman

Both Taylor and Pitman were excellent on saturday and deserves there chance to start upfront! as far as Maynards concerned well... he can just sit on the bench like a good little boy.

Brett Pitman must play, that goes without saying. I would play Nicky Maynard too, Pitman/Maynard strike partnership could be the spark we need.

I totally agree with Bigjohn,Pitman and Maynard up front and Taylor as sub to back them up...

Just remember where Maynard is concerned.....Form Is Temporary, Class Is Permanent...

Pitman/Maynard for me, if Maynard looks uninterested again then haul him off at half time for Taylor.

I also am finding it difficult to work up any enthusiasm to go, think I will leave it as late as possible to see if we get any team news. If Pitman does not start then for me that will be that, what has this guy go to do to get a start.
I also think Skuse needs to be dropped, for me he just doesn't offer enough to warrant a starting place, Bolasie for JCR as whilst JCR does try he seems to have little end product.

    James
    Spence - Wilson - Nyatanga - McGivern
    Adomah - Elliott - Killkenny - Bolasie
    Taylor - Pitman

Shiny, why ever not, if Maynard is not producing then he should be dropped the same as any other player - no one player has a divine right to play, if you don't perform then you should be dropped.

Maynard looked fairly disinterested on Saturday I thought. Pitman showed the sort of spirit we should expect from every player when he came on.

We played Reading in pre season and narrowly lost having given them a good game. As we are better than you it makes sense to predict a win for Reading. I`d guess 3-0 <ok>
