Well, finally after the usual boredom of international week, we kick on again with the Championship (sorry, EFL).
Next up is Jap Staams Reading, who, Like the Town, have had an indifferent start, and sit one point behind us.

So, how will Mick line us up after the new transfers of last week. Will he stick to a 4-3-3, or go more conservative, after what Reading did to us last year?

As for the defence, the only question mark is to whether Webster comes back in for Smith. In midfield, Skuse, is a definite (barring any injuries), so who will partner Skuse - Douglas/Bru/Bishop?

Up top/attacking is where it gets a bit more confusing - Ward is a given (and probably Sears), which then leaves Best, Pitman, Lawrence fighting for the one place.

    I have a feeling the team will look like this;

    Bart
    K'nudsen
    Berra
    Smith
    Chambers
    Skuse
    Douglas
    Bru
    Ward
    Pitman
    Lawrence

I think Mick will get Ward to sit a bit deeper for this game (especially first half), and be more defensive than he has been.
Best (if fit) will come on for the last 20 mins for Pitman, and Sears on for Lawrence.

I'll go for an exciting 2-2 draw, with Dougie and Pitman getting the goals for us.

    HATE this fixture

Living in Bristol it's a game I usually go to - this season I can't as it's my Mrs dads stag do the day after, but I'll watch it on Sky and see how we do.

Line up - I think Freddy will get a final stay of execution but he's going to have to get his mojo back / stop hiding or he's going to get dropped at Derby. Seriously out of sorts at the minute.

I think it'll be the same as PNE - same 11, but players knowing they HAVE to perform or will be dropped. Apparently Bishop ( sadly ) was invisible for the U23's 2-1 win last time out, so perhaps Mick has it right in making sure he's properly fit / easing him in. If we're going to have a good season, when fit Bishop / Wlliams / McGoldrick really do need to perform. All have class, however all appear made of glass. Hang on folks we have Keets on our hands, I'll stop.

As for the game, no doubt like we always do ( been there six times, never seen us win ) we'll play well enough to warrant at least a draw, probably a win but lose.

2-1 Reading, decent performance, cue meltdown on TWTD.

Win this and our season really cracks on and we motor on with renewed confidence and our new faces get a good look in, get a point and strong performance, no bad thing, another defeat then big questions get asked.

This is in its own small way, one of the defining games before Xmas. Especially after the last " tonking!"

Trouble is Spanish, we all see it, and know it, but Chambo is a favourite, gets skinned by everyone, and he happens to pop and score a vital goal just as MM sees the light...!

Chambo, your time is running out, proving too much of a liability. How many times have we said Bart is keeping us in the game? And pulling off amazing saves? The man is a legend and we must keep him. Why no transfer requests for him I wonder?
