Here is their run of results from last year. As you can see, they... like all team had a wobble round about Dec/Jan. I might be clutching here but at some point they will have a wobble.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015–16_Brighton_&_Hove_Albion_F.C._season If they don't then they deserve the title....
And Chris Hughton's team finishing above us wouldn't be a massive blow either, as long as we go straight up. Honestly, I'm more concerned about Reading/Huddersfield/Leeds - those two late goals at Bristol City were more of an issue than anything Brighton did last night. If we go straight from complacency to jitters we're fooked.
Law of averages says Brighton are due a drop in form - same with the others, we just need to get back to playing the way we were - at least with the Xmas / New Year games, Shelvey's suspension will be over fairly quickly (time wise)
I'm also more worried about the chasing pack... But surely they will wobble soon Its been mentioned but I'm sls
I think Reading and Leeds are pure momentum. A bad result for either of them and they'll fall away, I feel. Both have very average squads and are getting the max out of what they have. All credit to them, Monk and Stam doing a great job. I still worry about Villa putting a run together, but their slow start will probably cost them in the end.
Funny thing is - Once we get Shelvey back we'll start where we left off. We will strengthen during the transfer window and that will give us momentum. On reflection, we are having a blip just like the start of the season when we looked clueless. I have a feeling we will go to Brighton, beat them and kill their spirit.
If they get Ruben Loftus-Cheek they will be a force to be reckoned with https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...ws-ruben-loftus-cheek-brighton-antonio-conte/
