brb prediction weekend (mini competition)

brb prediction weekend – Saturday 7th May

At the request of a member of the prediction league (Bristol407), I was asked if I could run a mini competition involving the 3 vital fixtures deciding the play off places in League Two this weekend.

ALL visitors to this thread are welcome to take part and will be included in the mini competition table.

Rules: as per the current prediction league rules for 2010/11, http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A72369949 however, with some alterations to the scoring system...

6 points for each game where you predict the correct score line (ONLY if you include scorers for EVERY goal listed in your score line prediction), excluding a no score draw of course, which you might predict.

4 points for each game where you predict the correct score line but fail to follow the above rule, reference goal scorers being listed (not applicable to a no score draw).

2 points for each game where you predict the correct outcome of a match but have failed to predict the actual score line correctly i.e. if you predict a team to win 2-1 but they actually win 3-1, that is a correct outcome (regardless of whether you included scorers in your original prediction).

1 point for every goal scorer predicted correctly in each game, even if you predict the score line incorrectly.

So there are lots of points at stake, the matches you now need to post your predictions on are as follows, however, if you have previously predicted on the Gills game via the pre match thread, you may post a different prediction:

I tend to use mini competitions like this to further develop the prediction league for next season - last June I used the World Cup competition, which developed the scoring system for our current league.

I have altered the scoring for this mini competition, to test how it works under multiple predictions.
