A draw is not good enough we may have a game in hand over Crewe but we don't over Oxford and as it stands there is 4 points between us.
Full time what have we done, ref cost us the game yet again, so many times this season, the refs this season have had the most inputs in us losing points, How could we go from a 2 nil lead to just holding on to a draw at the end.
what a f***ing farce, we were robbed and now it looks to be hanging by a thread...those dreams ! please comeback tomlin, c.lee, king and spiller...all is not quite lost, especially with an april 14th d-day vs oxford, just a shame crewe won still feel with kuffour, tomlin, vine, obita, kedwell, whelps & c.lee hopefully for our run in, we can create enough to succeed ! looks like last day stuff though !!!
shame we could not hold on for win but still got a good chance for the play offs if we can win on tues night aginst Burton . With Southend and Cheltenham out of form there could be 2 more play off places available.
We (AFC Wimbledon) have just beaten Burton 4-0. I hope you will have a similar scoreline on Tuesday. See you at Priestfield next Saturday
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assistant_referee Sorry for all of this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The point of the exercise is to remind everyone that it's the man with the whistle who has the final say ( dependant on his time of the month ) I would be very interested to hear from the Club exactly what the referee gave as an explanation for his decision about the 2nd Bradford goal - and why the hell did it take him so long. The ridiculous length of time involved has done nothing to enhance the integrity of these whistleblowers.
I have just seen a report, giving Hessy's view on why the decision for the goal should not have been...http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2012/march/24/andy_hessenthaler.aspx?
Thanks brb for the link. Not long ago I courted an amount of controversy in making criticism of refereeing decisions/abilities. ( let's just concede that they have a difficult job to do - that's why they have assistant referees and fourth officials etc) Without wishing to resurrect much of the subject - after reading that the ball passed through the legs of the Bradford player who was standing(only) in an offside position-a couple of yards from the goal line- I have got to ask a question; Is there anybody willing to defend the decision of the man with the whistle regarding the Bradford 2nd goal - and then try to defend the way in which that decision was administered ( you could almost boil an egg in the time .)
