Match Day Thread Bradford City v Charlton

An early start this morning, and I have just arrived in the beautiful city of Bradford in plenty of time for today's game.

Weaving between the burkas and the street beggars, my first port of call in Bradford city centre was the bookies, where the Even money about Bradford looks ridiculous.

Charlton are said to be down to the bare bones today, with Fox joining the 8 strong injury list and Lookman not even travelling up.

Very hard to see us scoring today - in fact, it is very hard to see is putting an 11 out there.

I am scratching my head at the midfield - Botaka will have to start but will Chicksen play in there too, with Konsa and Tex covering as full backs?

Thank God for our Top 6 budget, else the team really would look weak today

SAme ref who awarded 2 penalties to us against the Gills.
And turned down a stonewall penalty for them

 

I think we will lose by three goals. Too thin a squad and too many players out.

 

Spoke to a few Bradford fans in the cafe - they are expecting a crowd of around 18,000 today & they don't fiddle the figures either

The good news is that we have plenty of pace & energy on the bench today. Good to see Jacko & Foley back.

 

Why Aribo is not on the bench is a mystery to me. Good to see Josh Umerah on bench, he deserves his chance as he has scored a number of goals for the U23.

 

It's a big ask for Konsa to play RB. Apart from CB I believe his only other position has been def-mid. Foley's been OK at RB. I can't imagine Big Josh (Magennis, not Umerah) will get a lot of quality service. Still, we have the New Manager Bounce. New Owner Bounce would be better though.

Yes but half of them were CB's so Pearce's in jury is not a problem.
