All being well it looks like I'll be buying my first place there soon. Slightly grim but very cheap :azn:

Guessing there are a few QPR around there. Any Rangers pubs? Places you'd recommend or avoid?

Got a good old friend who lives in Wokingham which is close to Bracknell I think. I have been in good pubs and restaurants there, good walks too.

Nearly moved out there in the late 70s but went to Ireland instead. I imagine it's changed a hell of a lot since then. Not far from Ascot if you like your horse racing...

Watford me and you will be drinking buddies! <ale> And Mouse and a few other Rangers fans. Bracknell and Wokingham have loads of Rangers fans. Even 3 pubs that we call QPR pubs.

But what about Watford? Why would anyone want to leave the joys of The Harlequin, great pubs like the 'White Horse', or the Thai food in 'The Nascott Arms'? Will you be changing your name to 'Bracknell_R'?

Disclaimer: The fact I left Watford over 10 years ago is not relevant to my questioning you leaving Watford.

I'm writing to the council to get them to rename the town West Windsor to boost property prices.

It's not a bad town now at all but the transport links mean a **** two bed is going for a fortune. Soon I'll have a palace in West Windsor.

Indeed. The next thing you know, you're married, three unruly kids, huge mortgage. labradoodle, pond full of fish, job you hate, mother-in-law....

Sorry, just popping out for a minute....

My Mother used to collect sixpence coins....

Remember though Watford, as I'm sure my Dad and later myself discovered, in your first year of marriage, you'll likely fill the jar if you add a coin each time you have sex with your new wife, but then, using the reverse principle, spend the rest of your life removing those coins when you are provided such favours.......

On the bright side, in my case, I sired 5 daughters, so spent more time than most in the saddle accomplishing that feat.
