Best Driver: Worst Driver: Best Rookie: Best Team: Worst Team: Best Overtake: Most Surprising Result: Least Surprising Result: Funniest moment: Excuse of the week: Special Mention: Best post from the race thread: Race Rating: ?/10
Best Driver: Nico Rosberg Worst Driver: Massa/Stevens Best Rookie: Max Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: Mclaren Best Overtake: Max on Perez Most Surprising Result: Hulk and Rosberg late upturn in performance Least Surprising Result: Mercedes Funniest moment: Alonsos lighthearted antics Excuse of the week: "So hard to catch him man" Special Mention: Maldonado and Grosjean drove well. Nasr didn't have the car beneath him to match his drive. Vettel showing us he is ready to wage war next year. Best post from the race thread: My borezilian idea haha. Race Rating: 3/10
Best Driver: No one of note, probably punt for Seb, kept the Merc honest. Worst Driver: None really stood out but Maldanado qualified badly and then ruined a top ten with a clumsy move and the associated 5 sec penalty Best Rookie: Max Best Team: Merc Worst Team: Honda Best Overtake: Riccardo on ......? Most Surprising Result: 2 Hondas finishing Least Surprising Result: Merc winning Funniest moment: The Alonso Memes Excuse of the week: ToTo trying to justify why they restrict their drivers Special Mention: The two Nico's, Button and Alonso Best post from the race thread: Big Ern: Lets face it, it's not the first time he's crashed into a parked car, ask Kimi. Race Rating: 4/10
Best Driver: Verstappen and grosjean Worst Driver: Hamilton Best Rookie: Verstappen Best Team: Ferrari Worst Team: Mclaren Best Overtake: Verstappen on perez Most Surprising Result: Rosberg held his nerve in turn 1 Least Surprising Result: Hamilton burning out his tyres to make himself look like he was challenging but he was tottaly beat on pace. Funniest moment: Excuse of the week: there was no chance of overtaking. There was plenty of overtaking down the field. It was just that the top teams were tyre saving. Special Mention: Rosberg. I would like to think this dominance is real and not manufactured by the team. Maybe we will see at the next race when nothing is to lose or win. Best post from the race thread: the Alonso memes Race Rating: 6/10 there was some good racing but it was for 10th place.
Best Driver: Nico Hulkenberg - quietly got a much needed result Worst Driver: Maldonado Best Rookie: Max Verstappen Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: McLaren - Or Honda i should say. No positive development over the season, improvement to come for McLaren when they find a new supplier i suspect. Best Overtake: Max on Perez Most Surprising Result: Hulk Least Surprising Result: Mercedes Funniest moment: Alonso would rather be anywhere else. Excuse of the week: "you cant overtake here" Honestly Lewis behaved like a twat all weekend. Special Mention: Grosjean, Rosberg. Race Rating: 1/10 - For Verstappen. Cant really think of anything else interesting. I mean 4 cars on the lead lap, the 2014 regs were a huge mistake.
Best Driver: Hulk / Rosberg Worst Driver: Massa - Very slow all weekend Best Rookie: Best Team: umm... Force India? Worst Team: Williams Best Overtake: Any that weren't DRS related. Most Surprising Result: Perez out of the points in his current form Least Surprising Result: Sainz's car goes boom Funniest moment: #Wherealonsowouldratherbe Excuse of the week: "You can't overtake on this track" Special Mention: Grosjean, good result in a car which hasn't gotten much points lately Best post from the race thread: Race Rating: 0/10
Agree on this. Dreadful race, nobody a standout either way really, very few moves, all dull, the off track things were better with Alonso.
Best Driver: Rosberg. Best driver over the weekend. He withstood pressure even though he knew it was largely bluffing from Hamilton. Worst Driver: In front of a home crowd? I think Massa fared worse than Nasr. Räikkönen still worth a mention here, although at least he brought the car home. Best Rookie: Verstappen. Best Team: Mercedes. Worst Team: McLaren. Best Overtake: Verstappen on Perez was marginally better than Verstappen on Nasr roughly half an hour later, when he repeated the exercise. Despite any tyre advantage, both were superb; and I do not agree with any suggestion that Verstappen was either lucky or wrong to achieve what he did in the way that he did. As a racer, he judged both moves beautifully. Top marks for identifying himself as a racer – fairly! Most Surprising Result: Manor at the back. Least Surprising Result: Mercedes 1-2. Funniest moment: Of the weekend? It has to be Alonso chilling out… Excuse of the week: No comment. Special Mention: Force India. Best post from the race thread: My apologies: I've not read it thoroughly enough to give a proper answer. Race Rating: 4/10
3/10 - one each for Grosjean, Max and Maldo; otherwise it wasn't worth watching. Special mention to Carlos Sainz, who might have made it more interesting but we'll never know because his car broke as usual.
Bloody hell this year has been a bore fest! Only a couple of decent races.. most of that action was in the midfield.. This race, up front had a bit of faux excitement but thats about it.. Apart from the Ferraris the Merc's lapped the entire field.. This domination is beyond what Red Bull and Vettel did.. Please no more.. otherwise I vote for Bernie's idea of the sprinklers coming on at random times! The race, 0.568/10... Get this season over and done with already!
Best Driver: Max Worst Driver: Massa, time to move over Best Rookie: Max, as usual Best Team:Mercedes Worst Team:Manor Best Overtake: Max, Most Surprising Result: Both Honda engines making it all the way to the end Least Surprising Result: Merc 1-2 Funniest moment: "I hate you" Excuse of the week: Special Mention: Vettel keeping pace, Rosberg for concentrating on his own race when his team-mate loomed in his mirrors, Hulkenberg. Best post from the race thread: Race Rating: ?/10
