Just noticed the following prices on Skybet if anyone is tempted: Bristol City to be relegated: 7-2, Bristol Rovers to make the playoffs: 20-1, and Bristol Rovers to win the playoffs: 66-1. As the bookies don't tend to be too far off the mark generally, this kind of puts things in perspective. Having said that, if LJ stays which it appears he is going to, then with their track record of f***ing things up this season, maybe the 7-2 is quite tempting? ( Would make a nice 94-1 double if we made the playoffs aswell! )
I will definitely give the 7-2 on City being relegated a few quid, and although I personally don't think we will make the playoffs, the combined double price is so good it has to be worth a couple of quid. - Nothing too crazy but yes, I will have a little flutter.
Well, the bookies clearly think we've got no chance and City have an excellent chance! It looks like that gap might be the other way round from next season!
Not surprised, but anything can still happen. I think City will probably stay up now...but you never can tell at this stage of the season.
Just had a look out of curiosity and as you would expect after yesterday, the bookies odds have now slightly altered!! City are now 25-1 to be relegated, Rovers are a mere 200-1 to make the playoffs. (They are actually shorter odds of 150-1 to finish in the bottom half of the table, just to put things into perspective), and they don't even feature in the list to actually win the playoffs any longer - Rochdale being the bottom favourites at 250-1 so we are considered bigger outsiders than that! Funny how one set of games can change everything so drastically. These prices are Skybets latest assessments.
