So in that case, based on that quote you provided, we got £30m for Bony right, afterall we are quoted as saying he was valued at close too £30m lol, £25m is not even close Palace had a bid of around £8m accepted for Siggy, so we can assume Siggy was worth £8m, and Davies worth £10m, so we shouldhave had a lot more, now bare in mind the club said Vorm was free, as that was what Utrecht were pissed off about. So no we did not get £3.5m for him.
Palace were trying a cheeky bid which did not come off, Siggy was easily worth £10 if not £12 Million........
How can anyone put Bony into the same class as some of the players mentioned who have proved themselves at big clubs. This is bony's first chance at a big club so he at this time is an unknown entity and a risk by man city to take a chance on him. when bony has proved himself in the champions league then you can compare him to the great players that have done it got the t-shirt. We are very lucky to have got such a fantastic price and that is testament to jinx and the board for thrashing out the best deal available.
WTF does the biggness of a club have to do with anything. Bony was the top scorer in 2014 in a league that includes the BIG clubs, which means he scored against their BIG defenses. We got a **** price because for some reason we were desperate to sell. We were, through HJ's utterances to the press in particular, floating Bony on the market since the end of last season. Why?
Well Suarez is currently flopping at his current club after his big transfer, does that make him average Dai?
No it just proves my point that Man city are taking a risk and what we got from the deal is a bloody good one...
Dai they are hard work mate, I'm out having a steak watching the Madrid derby, bale having a brilliant game......
1) Man City have put him into that class by signing him for big money 2) When Chelsea signed Drogba for £24m 11 years ago he too had never played for a big club. I'm sure there are loads more similar examples but I can't be ****ing bothered. 3) He is not an "unknown entity" he has been scoring goals against Prem defenders at a ratio of 1 in 2 for 2 seasons in a team that creates much less chances than Man City. 4) Champions League? Ever heard of Gareth Bale? Andy Carroll? James Milner? Isco? Luke Shaw? I could go on and on. 5) Clearly in your world "thrashing out a deal" equates to caving in to the 1st bidder
Reported fees (I know we used some dodgy legal stuff to screw Utrecht for a few quid but here goes. Michel Vorm to Spurs £5mn Ben Davies to Spurs £11mn Gylfi Sigurðsson to Swasnea £8.9 mn Difference £7mn We reportedly got £4 mn
I think Bony will make it but nobody can say for sure and thats the point. Did you know that bony started his career as a Defender and not a striker, another was Tate who started life as a Keeper in his younger days....
Siggy for £8.9 Million?......................... Gone down in value has he from when he signed for spuds.......................
