Match Day Thread Bolton (away)

Our under invested squad head north, further depleted by a series of injuries. I could go off on a tangent about our January transfer business, but I'll save that for next week. Main casualties are Magennis, Bauer, Lennon, Pearce and Jackson. Big Tex is also suspended.

Bolton pretty much appear to be full strength from what I've seen. Their home form is pretty formidable to, so the challenge at hand is made tougher the more you read in to it.

One positive should be the return of Holmes which gives us some creativity in midfield. We just have to hope the last two weeks have benefited Watt to give us an attacking output.

If we got the 3 points it would be deemed an upset. Unfortunately I don't see that happening.

I see numerous snipes at the prospect of RD selling up, is this just hope or are there some solid rumours that he might finally be leaving ?

 

4-0 to Bolton. KR looks like a busted flush, our only proper striker is injured, the owner appears to be hawking the club around, the January transfer window has shown our total lack of ambition. Morale will be low, we're playing a good team with a good manager, we're ripe for a thrashing.

 

A bit of both, I think. I'd say the lack of investment in this transfer window points to him sellling up, but it's just what he does.

 

I think there's something happening. Those who don't normally don't bother talking about a takeover are now asking as many Q's as the rest of us.

 

All transfer windows have been similar in my opinión. The players in actually would'nt be bad cover, but we needed more than that. As for today free coaches sound like an 'operation Riverside' sort of afternoon, and look how well that went. I'll actully go for a 4-1 to Bolton, but KR has had a fortnight to prepare this so he may yet suprise me.
As for selling the club, the time was a year ago, but I'm happy to dream of seeing this bunch of idiots walking away over the horizon. And there are those who look at our mid table league 1 position and claim the owners have learnt something.

Bauer fit, in for Johnson, so I'll revise my forecast to 2-0.

Question is what shape Bauer is in. The midfield are going to have to push forward at every opportunity. Whether Watt is able to hold up will be another Q.
