Waddo, Looks worse for them below us, I don't believe it anyway, we have a new outlook and a new look team even with mostly the same players. I honestly think we will be ok.
Hmmmm...whatever, one team they are mistaken about, is Norwich, I reckon they will score a hatfull of goals. I will reserve judgement on Hughes and his taffia until 10 games into the season. Anyway, Bloomberg are an American outfit, based in New York, what do they know about oatcakes eh!
Oh Yeah, HAPPY OATCAKE DAY to all my fellow Stokie's Don't do predictions myself, someone predicted that I would not last ten years of marriage to my good Lady. It's our 30th anniversary on 17th Sept.
Not the first time that's been mentioned Jowler. I must say, I looked at the rest and married the best. And, we're off to Dublin to celebrate. Might try a pint of the real Black Gold.
Only staying for 2 nights mate.. any good traditional Irish bars you know of? We would be eternally grateful. We both like a good sing song and my Grandmother was born in Ireland. Re: that's the connection between me and my Great Grand father. John Dutton Benton ex Stoke Goalie.
Hmm... I've been away for a few years, so lots of places have probably changed. When are you going, and what part of the city are you staying in?
That said, O'Donoghue's is absolute quality, and is the sort of place that won't have changed much since 2009! http://goo.gl/maps/stgfs http://www.odonoghues.ie/bar.htm
And if you're interested in catching some footy when you're over, Shelbourne and St. Pat's are both at home on Friday the 20th.
Peadar We are staying in Parnell Square we're told it's a few mins walk to the river? Down O'Connell Street??? So pretty central. Sadly we sail home on the 20th a 9:15 pm sailing from Dublin Port to Holly head. So will be on foot in the fair City... thanks for the link etc info so far your a gent and a scholar. Hotel is The Charles Stewart in Parnell St.
Ah right, you're staying on the northside. I don't know that part of town so well, but you're about half an hour walk away from O'Donoghue's, and there'll be plenty of pubs along the way if you wanted to make a crawl of it! Not sure what you want to be doing in Dublin exactly, but I'll be happy to help any way I can!
