It's all bollocks. Surely the 25 man registration rule means Holloway was well within his rights to field what ever team he sees fit. It's the Premier League yet again ballsing up. Did you see Manchester United get a fine when they fielded a weakened team against the mackems 2 years back? of course not

I think it's bollocks that you can get fined for that...Benitez calls it 'rotation', Wenger calls it 'blooding in youngsters' and yet Blackpool do it, call it 'prioritising' and get fined...Absolute joke!

Ian Holloways(spelling?) reaction should be rather amusing. However I think the whole thing is a disgrace surely you should be able to play whichever players you want out of your 25 man squad. Hence why you register 25 players, so you can play them all. I know if I was a manger and I had a 25 man squad I would be using it to its potential so I could, rest players, keep everyone happy, give everyone a chance, drop players who have poor performances, give my best 11 the week off to prepare for an upcoming big game etc.

It annoyed me that it was quoted that the EPL took into account Blackpool fielding a weakened side in the FA Cup against Southampton. If that's the case, surely most of the clubs in the Premier League (us included) should be fined for fielding weakened sides in the Carling and/or FA Cup?

I think this is definately the exception in Blackpool's case, Wolves did it under different rules. What's the point in naming the 25-man squad if you can't play 14 of them in your first XI. EPL need to give their heads a shake!!

It's pathetic not only for the fact you have a 25 player squad to choose from but how horrible for the players in that game who are getting call weaker even though they almost grabbed a draw against aston villa
