For fielding a weakened team against Villa last November.

Will Ollie quit as threatened? Personally I doubt it - all mouth n no trousers methinks.

    Its a ****ing pisstake though.

Hollowhead can name whatever team he wants if he has important games coming up.

You can't play the same 11 all season.

ive never understood how when it is a team like Blackpool its called fielding a weakened team but when Arsenal et al do it then its called bringing up the youth players!

How do you define a weakened team though? A squad is there to be used, so all of this confuses me

Totally agree actually. With only 25 players to choose from, surely a manager should be free to pick who he likes for any particular game.

Even Redknapp said he's done the same as Ollie in the past.

Still think Ollie was a plank to threaten to resign tho.

Yeh exactly, it's ridiculous that you can fine a club because their manager picks the team he wants to pick. The decision is basically based on the FA having an opinion on who the best players are, which is none of their business and I doubt they've got a clue anyway.

Still, Holloway knows he's put out a weakened team, he did the same in the FA Cup and admitted it. Personally I will always be against this mentality.

Putting a couple of youngsters in your team for a cup game or a game you expect to win is one thing, but when you're making 5+ changes and seriously hampering your chances of winning the match, then it's not really in the spirit of the game.

So in a way he deserves to be fined, but at the same time it's disgraceful.
