It's crunch time!! For the Rovers, it's all or nothing tonight. For the Lactics, it's the chance to see them definitely safe. Unfortunately, I think it will be a draw, 2-2 possibly, and with it the end of Rovers' bid to survive. A pity that a club with so much history should go down again. I watched Rovers as a boy when they had 'stars' such as Bill Eckersley, Ronnie Clayton, Bobby Langton, and Eddie Quigley. I also remember Tommy Briggs scoring a record 7 goals at Ewood Park against Bristol Rovers! Will the coffin be buried again I wonder?
Good luck next year Blackburn, now we're going to get to find out what your owners are really like. It did wonders for Newcastle... ps. Wigan escaped by remembering how to play some great football, they've beaten Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle in the last few weeks and should have got a result against Chelsea (dodgy refereeing).
im a wigan fan im so sorry what has happend good luck getting rid of the **** who run your club and getting back up
WELCOME TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP. It wont be easy going back up. See you all next season. Have a good summer.
The last time I think it took only 2 seasons to get back, but that was in the days with Souness as manager and the team striving to win in memory of Jack Walker. With the ineffective Kean and the Venky's, I think it will be considerably longer !!
