Robbie Keane's disappointed second spell at Spurs seems to be over after it emerged that Blackburn are preparing to sign him. The Republic of Ireland international has failed to cement a first-team spot since returning from a disastrous stint at Liverpool in January 2009. He has been farmed out on loan to Celtic and West Ham after falling well down the White Hart Lane pecking order in the past two years. Tottenham are now pressing to move him off their wage bill on a permanent basis. The 30-year-old is rumoured to be the club's highest-paid player. There has been little interest in Keane so far, but Rovers are ready to bring him to Ewood Park as they up their summer spending. Rovers' Indian owners are apparently also targeting Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse, Almeria winger Pablo Piatti and Zenit St Petersburg defender Alexander Anyukov, as they look to strengthen a squad that narrowly avoided relegation last season.
I would only be willing to pay about 2-3 million very most for keane, personally i wouldn't sign him, From what have read pappis cisse sounds like a good palyer.
