Blackburn are close to completing an unlikely deal to bring ex-Liverpool and Fulham goalkeeper Tony Warner to Ewood Park. The 37-year-old is available on a free transfer and Rovers are keen to draft him in as third-choice goalkeeper. Warner was most recentl in action at Tranmere, but the veteran's contract has now expired. He could be forgiven for thinking his Premier League days were behind him, but is now in line for a return to the top-flight. Rovers have sold England Under 21 keeper Frankie Fielding to Derby and Jason Brown has left at the end of his contract, forcing manager Steve Kean into the market for a new goalkeeper. The Blackburn boss knows Warner from his time as assistant manager to Chris Coleman at Craven Cottage and is ready to make him No.3 to Paul Robinson and Mark Bunn.
