It's a Hawk. It's employed by the SMC to stop Pigeons ****ting on people. I wish there was there was an Allam Hawk.

Probably the same one they use at some Hull Schools for keeping them clear of pidgeons

I was told a story about a site that was due to be worked on, but there was a delay while they decided what the birds were that were roosting in it. One guy nearby was all excited, and watching through binoculars, only to be disappointed at only seeing the one Falcon, when he'd been told that there was a 'pair of green' falcons roosting there.

This maybe explains the feather rain a few games ago? Sat in the north stand getting showered by feathers all game.

There was often what I believed to be a kestrel in the rafters above the West Stand, at least it was there prior to the club evicting me from my seat.

A pair of kestrels did indeed live in the roof of the Upper West Stand a few seasons ago. They were nesting and feeding youngsters while I was working up there. If you looked up at the press area where Burnsey sits they were on the top of a pillar to the left. Not sure if they're still there but there was always a load of pigeon feathers and bits up there.

My neighbour and I have a good number of bird feeders out in big front gardens - his on a post with crossbar and mine hanging in a Silver Birch. We get a lot of birds in, feeding. I was talking about *BOPs with a guy in the village the other day and remarked that I hadn't seen a Sparrow Hawkfor a good while. But I guess I spoke too soon as yesterday afternoon on swooped in, chasing birds around a big Japonica bush, but didn't appear to catch its prey. What normally happens is that things settle down and then it'll come back.

There are Buzzards in the trees across the road; and a Rookery (the Rooks really mob the Buzzard/s, especially when the Rooks have young). Buzzards in/over the woods out back; sometimes a Red Kite (rarely); Barn Owls in the Kennels a field away.
