Jaws is my favourite movie. I dragged my family to Martha's Vineyard because that's where Amity Island was filmed. I went to the Tourist Information and asked "Do you have any information on Jaws sites?" The bloke made me wait until everyone else had gone and then produced a very dusty piece of paper from the bottom drawer and in very hushed tones talked me through it. Apparently, they don't like to encourage the memory of shark attacks, even if they weren't real and any real life sharks in that film were filmed in Australia. Oh yeah, "You're going to need a bigger boat."
You will be so scared that you will never go back into a cinema again ... that would make a great strap line for a horror film!
The Taking of Pelham 123 is a great film. It also inspired a record from Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine to be called the Taking of Peckham 123
Another strategy would be not to take him all at once. You’ve got to see the second and last one I saw, something to do with Droids, maybe. It has the worst, and I mean the absolute worst romantic scene I’ve ever observed, including grammar school musicals. How they managed to get such terrible writing and putrid acting by two different people in a movie they spent zillions on is the 11th wonder of the world. Prepare to be amazed. I thought the first one was okay, actually. I guess I saw it when I was almost young enough. Typical overblown and cheesy big Hollywood film, but a well formed story arc, if you care about that sort of thing. On the other hand, I read Watership Down when I was 11, maybe, and love it to this day.
Love Carter USM. I was at the last ever gig in Brixton a year ago. I'm still hoping that they'll be back.
You are (hopefully) talking about the original film and not the remake. File the remake under "unnecessary" rather than awful, but still one of many that didn't need to be (re)done. Also Shaw was good in Battle of Britain, where a large number of actors didn't get much screen time compared to the aircraft (quite correctly), but he was one of the better ones. I should also note however, for the many that are concerned here, that at the time of the Battle of Britain many (most?) pilots still flew wearing ties, but Shaw (I believe - haven't seen it for a while) is only seen in a white polo neck. Could be a deal breaker for some.
REMAKE???....suggesting I might like that abomination is a terrible slur ... it's up there with @Ckane making up outrageous lies about how I wanted us to sign Nasri
Saw them doing some anti BNP benefit gigs back in the 1990s. Still listen to their stuff...101 damnations is still their best imo...used to make me laugh when my kids told me to turn the music down
My kids sort of despaired of their punk father. They're both named after favourite tracks from 'back in the day' - Eloise and Gabrielle. However, they've now started to ask to come with me and Mrs B to see some gigs. You'll wear them down eventually.
Tracks by The Damned [ok, a cover] and The Nipple Erectors. I tried Melody Lee. Poly Styrene, Sheena and Siouxsie but Mrs B wasn't having it. Women, eh? She also rejected Strummer. I ask you?
I'm sure I just saw flash up on my screen that we had cut a £150mill kit deal with Nike?... Going to check it now... Edit: Yep,we have.. . http://www.espnfc.com/tottenham-hot...o-switch-kit-from-under-amour-to-nike-sources
I have no doubt the players will all look very smart in the Nike kit. Now we need to smarten our manager up.
It's been rumoured for a very long time, as has the naming rights thing. I wonder if and when they'll both be announced?
The Battle of Britain was a great film with as you say many actors playing 2nd fiddle to the wonderful aircraft and Robert Shaw in his white polo did stand out he was also excellent in From Russia with Love
It's reckoned we sell 268,000 shirts per year, worldwide. It's considerably less than Chelsea [900,000], Arsenal [835,000], Liverpool [850,000] and United [1.75m]. Given what those others sell, our deal sounds great. I am suspecting that £30m is the maximum dependent upon CL and other factors. Let's hope that we can get that maximum sum on a regular basis. The hope on both sides has to be that Dele, Harry Kane, Eric Dier and the like enjoy success with England and we start to attract a greater proportion of young fans as a result. Signing Isco wouldn't hurt either. At least, having Nike as the supplier means that the high street stores should stock the kit which isn't the case in a lot of sores at the moment. Rather like our form in the PL this season, it puts us there or thereabouts with the clubs with more income than us right now. What happens after that will depend upon whether the team starts to win things. It's a big 5 years coming up in every sense.
