Cheers mate. Like others have said, I had my enthusiasm for the game sucked out of me by the hapless season that has thankfully ended. I was chuffed to bits when we managed to get Moyes, but how wrong was I to think that he would carry on with the good work that Big Sam had left behind I had no idea that Moyes was such a miserable, uninspiring twat! I pity any club that is stupid enough to hire him.
I have heard that also a few hours ago that he will retire. No way will he retire. He likes the limelight too much!
Sam Allardyce has resigned as Crystal Palace manager five months after he joined the Premier League club. Allardyce replaced Alan Pardew in December on a two-and-half year deal with the Eagles one point above the relegation zone. But the 62-year-old, who had an ill-fated one-game spell as England boss, led the club to eight wins in 21 games to guide them to a 14th-place finish. The Eagles are now looking for their eighth manager in seven years. Taken from BBC site. Something is up as he still has two years left on contract.
Former Rangers manager Walter Smith is advising Martin Bain in an unofficial capacity as the club begins it search for a new manager.Chairman Ellis Short promised a 'period of reflection' following Moyes departure on Monday and an appointment is not expected to be imminent. Bain and Smith worked closely together at Rangers, where Bain was Chief Executive from 2005 to 2011 before being suspended by controversial owner Craig Whyte. Smith was manager of the club between 2007-11, his second stint as manager. Reports have suggested that the pair are impressed by Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes, who has lead to Scottish outfit to a second place finish ahead of Rangers this season. His only spell south of the border, at Bristol City, lasted just over a year and he left the club eight points adrift of Championship safety, despite securing their status with an eight game unbeaten run the previous campaign. Reports have also suggested that David Moyes will offer his advice on a potential successor.
