Excellent. Coming down from 2-0 down to a **** decision, and also coming back from a late goal.

Excellent spirit, it makes me believe we can actually stay up and maybe even progress!!!

    Ratings -

Elliot - 7 - Couldn't do much about the goals. Great save against Fellaini to keep us in the game.

Janmaat - 4.5 - Poor defending, but good energy going forward. Better deliveries 2nd half after a woeful 1st half.

Mbemba - 6.5 - Unlucky with the pen. Shakey 1st half, Good solid defending in the 2nd half and decent efforts going forward.

Colo - 8 - Thought he actually lead by example today. Got stuck in, took some risks, but some excellent challenges at times.

Dummett - 7 - Good goal, even if it was a deflection, it wasn't a massive deflection. Got himself forward. Pleased for him. Stayed calm when challenged by Martial.

Sissoko - 4 - Didn't track back til the 2nd half, and was lazy at times, also some terrible passing which cost us the 2nd goal.

Tiote - 6 - Stupid booking. Decent defending and distribution at times though. Better 2nd half.

    Colback - 6 - Decent.

Wijnaldum - 7.5 - Should have scored the 1st chance, but made up for it with a great finish. Also some fantastic hold up play and dribbling at times.

Perez - 4 - Felt sorry for the lad. Looked out of his depth tonight.

Mitrovic - 8.5 - Did superb despite mostly **** service and isolated up top. Caused Man Utd problems with his presence and did a good job of pissing off the usually calm Smalling <laugh>. A very calm penalty which he earned himself and played a massive part in the 1st goal with the knock down. Some decent knock downs throughout the night in fact.

McClaren - 7 - His approach in the 1st half was wrong, but he couldn't have forseen the **** penalty decision that was extremely harsh. However, his team talk did the trick and he got his team back on their feet for the 2nd half.

    MOTM - Mitro.

Colback was pathetic. Done absolutely nothing. Sissoko and Janmaat weren't that bad, caused them a few problems. Wijnaldum MOTM for me

Yeah I thought Siss and Janmaat were really working hard to cause them a headache down our flank. I agree they were both a little sloppy with the ball at times but good to see them trying to make it happen for us.

    Elliot - 7
    Janmaat - 6
    Mbemba - 8
    Colo - 7.5
    Dummett - 7
    Sissoko - 7
    Tiote - 7
    Colback - 5
    Wijnaldum - 8
    Perez - 4
    Mitrovic - 7.5

Wijnaldum MOM. I love the way he protects the ball and keeps play going when under pressure. If only Sissoko could do the same. Some very subtle, but very classy defending from Mbemba at times, like when he edged Rooney out of play without giving a penalty away in the second half. First class. A big club will come in for him by the end of next season.

That's right. He said we'll be making our own luck from now on. He obviously forgot about Mike Dean. 3 out of 10 for him by the way.

Just more evidence that they only care about playing the better sides. We need to get results from the lesser teams, we won't stay up otherwise.

That may have been Albert's Chip Shop tbf, although I forget if Mitrovic scoring was one of the many criterion on which he was going to get his arse out.

You obviously haven't a clue about refereeing

to give that inept decrepit cheating piece of offal 3 is criminal.

Mike Dean was awful tonight mind. Always gives me the impression he wants to make the game about him & be the centre of attention.

Wijnaldum is different class for you, in the same way M'Vila is for us (not a direct comparison mind before anyone says). Colback will be sitting on the bench more I'd guess with the 2 new guys coming in, such an average footballer.

Really good game to watch for an (almost) neutral point of view. Fair play.

unfortunately the 3 points has to awarded for his dress and attire
(that's the ref's strip, not some natty little number when walking the streets on the Wirral) <laugh>

I agree. Colback will now be seen as more of a squad player IMHO.
