I think it will, given time. It's already happening in Europe and in Scotland. And you already have standing areas at lower league grounds at at Rugby stadiums. Only a matter of time before it comes to the PL. And not before time imo. It's proven to be safe and effective. It also makes a lot of sense for clubs wanting to expand capacity without having to build expensive new stadiums.

Don't know why you seem so certain. Have you been living in a cave for the past couple of years?

    Do some research.

It's unbelievably stupid that at any match you have thousands of people standing in seated areas which is considerably less safe than modern terracing. At any ground there are de facto standing areas.

I don't think it's meant to increase the capacity though.

Indeed, I think it is much more dangerous to stand in seated areas. I've ended up 3 rows down and about 8 seats along celebrating a goal before.

It does increase capacity too, by how much depends on the stadium design. I think it's an average of 1.4 spaces in rail seating to one seat.

I think the old style terraces would be fine if it's ticketed and policed properly.

Best new-style away grounds to visit are Etihad and Emirates.

Best old style Hillsborough and Woodison.

Worst old style Den and Springfield Park

Like Selhurst, St Mary's and the King Power.

Hate Stamford Bridge (more due to fact atmosphere was **** for a big London derby) and SJP, the steps you have to walk up at that place is a joke, especially if you're a fat **** like me.

    What makes you say that?

I've always thought it would make a pretty poor away end.

Tucked into the corner, sun in your eyes, quite far from a pub that will accept away fans, a fair trek from the train station, it's a modern "bowl" that doesn't have much uniqueness to an away fan...

I know the atmosphere is good but does that make up for it's shortcomings?

Stamford Bridge is ****e purely because of the atmosphere. A mix between fans who don't know what's going on, fans who are Neanderthal twats and a minority of genuine football fans.

I've taken Stan Jr to various grounds but continue to avoid SB.

Used to like going to The Dell with Mrs Stan.

Only been the once which was last season, so naturally result was great for us.

We went to a pub that was only about a 10 minute walk away, had both home and away fans (mainly us lot) but there was no trouble.

Thought the inside of your ground was quite stylish, in the concourse area there was a wall where away fans could graffiti with stickers and stuff, the beers inside the ground were decent too, usually I find stadium beer pretty ****. I thought our view was alright as well, I don't mind sitting in the corners of grounds and we were at the right height for probably the best view of all Spurs fans. Atmosphere was a laugh, good bit of banter between both sets, you lot first off saying "we're waiting for you", then us lot singing "you've got your Leicester back" once we went about 4-1 up.
