Just been to the Wethers in Brid. Had a pint of Bagby Back Garden Bitter 4.5% very nice. In fact excellent. And a pint of The Hop Studio Bitter 5.5% Good too but Bagby wins.
People who don't live in Brid rolling up and using its facilities. Spending money...Terrible. What is it like in there nowadays? Years since I've been in. Go by early in the morning and you see the creme de La creme. Was on seafront yesterday morning and this morning, don't think I have ever seen, or rather heard so many Eastern Europeans in Brid before. More welcome than Wessies.
It was fine. lot of families, and your usual Wethers drinkers all off on one side. Absolutely beautiful on the front, bit chilly the wind now and again. The views over to Filey and south shore, lovely. Whats the building under construction next to the Spa? Looks a bit art deco??
It is the new lifeboat station to replace the current one on the other side of the road from the Spa.
ah yes. First time we've been to Brid in ages. Looked really good. Deffo had a bit of a clean up. What price are those flats with the balconies going for along from the Spa? Thats some view they have.
One down the side of the building, still with a partial sea view, is £269,950 so those at the front with a full sea view will be more. There are some on the other side of Brid, though they aren't as big, with a better view, from Flamborough Head to Spurn Point I would rather have as I prefer that part of town to live. Don't think many of the people buying them will be locals.
Went up to Hornsea on Saturday, perfect day for it. Busiest it's been for a while, good to see. Sullivan's is still closed due to water damage, I suspect it won't be open again. Always love a pint in the Marine Hotel, topped off with chippy from Whitehead's. Splendid.
Cottingham beer festival is 12th and 13th may this year.ive been the two previous years and it's a decent fest..
I was in Cottingham today and had a crap pint of bitter, recommended by the bar girl who looked about 10 no idea what it was.
