How does it compare to the (6%, £2.99 for a bottle in 'spoons) Green Devil though?

It's a fair substitute and only £1.80 in local Tesco. <cheers>

Beer, (but no greasy chips) tomorrow.
Doing a walk with a mate from just south of N. Walsham, on Weaver's Way for a while, then when it meets the disused Dilham canal, there's what's left of a footpath alongside the canal. 5 or 6 miles of hard work, tree roots, rabbit holes, you name it, but worth persevering.
And at the end, on the A149, near Wayford Bridge, is the Crown at Smallburgh which just happened to have ace Tim Taylor's Landlord last time I called.
Anyone wanting a bit of peace or space would be well advised to avoid Cromer and Sheringham like the plague until very late August <ok>

Just wondered if anyone has tried the Bell at Cawston lately?
Thinking of a circular walk from Marsham via the heath to Cawston, ale / lunch, then a different loop back for bus home to Crabville.
Likewise Butcher's Arms, at East Ruston quite near Happisburgh.
Weaver's Way runs very close between N Walsham and Stalham, so another I'd like to try out.
So bloody awkward when it has to be based around public transport schedules, but hey ho.
    Better that than nothing <ok>

I was in the Bell at Cawston a few years back and it's a fairly typical 'Pubmaster' pub I seem to remember - beer and food was OK.
Yes the trek across the heath is quite enjoyable, but make sure you have a compass and good walking boots, as parts of it could be quite muddy.

Is that nice?! Grapefruit and Gooseberries in my Ale!? Doesn't sound like it would be nice. They are pretty sharp and powerful flavors.

Try Brewdog's Elvis Juice then, plenty of Grapefruit there and very tasty too.

I'm wary of anything from Brewdog after going in their new(ish) bar and sampling their ditch water mixed with sump oil. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Is that the "Brewdog"? Or do they have other bars/pubs in the City? That place is high of my list of places to try. Did you try a few beers? Or just the one you had was awful?

Can you properly taste grapefruit through it? Or does it just add a hint of flavor? I drink Grapefruit juice because it's good for you, but I don't really enjoy it.
