Been away for a week ............... have i got this right ?

Greetings one and all. It seems I managed to book a holiday for the most exciting week of FFC news for some time. It seems the following has happened:

Hughes left of his own accord.
Martin Jol has since become our new manager.
We should be getting Hughton as our No.2.

Sam Allardice is West Ham manager
Gus Hiddink is our neighbours manager.

Apologies for going over this again, but I think Jol is perfect for our club:

He is an honest man with integrity and a personality.
Ajax have played plenty of European Football.
He was pure class in the Premiership and greatly respected.
Ajax have an amazing youth set up.

Hughes was in my eyes a bit of a dull character that prepared us well for games and did well whilst in charge. Jol however, is as mentioned, Fulhamish. He tells it like it is and accepts defeat graciously whilst praising the team for good play. His knowledge of European football is great. I will be interested to see how he plays Dembele and whether he uses Danny Hoeson next season.

Great appointment by MAF, bring on the Europa league and next season.

welcome back froggie, all correct except Hughton. I think, and I say think, Jol is bringing in someone new as a conditioning coach called Cock and another coach called Lundgren.
Tried hard to think of some amazing catchy phrases with a double entendre but it fell a bit limp so gave up!

 

Cock (short for Cornelius) is Jol's brother and does scouting for him. The other feller does conditioning. Because he's worth it.

How is Cock short for Cornelius? Surely he should be called Corny? Like most of the jokes on this board.....

OK. More info. Lindgren (I saw Lundgren and thought of the tennis coach and I seriously can't remember how to spell his name. I have had a hectic 24 hours!) will be first team coach. Is that assistant manager?! And what does that mean for Hughton? All of Hughes' team will go (4 people) and WE will pay them compensation.

Cock is a scout (Could he be anything else?!). But I haven't heard if he will undertake that role for us. I assume he will.

 

Cock is the assistant and Lindeman is head coach. Seems we have a continental setup going on. We've gone dutch!

I can just see some interesting caption photographs of Jol and his friend.
