Clements can only hold onto Bartley if the player wants to stay. If rad gets takeover done this week signs up Monk and makes proper money available for squad rebuilding, Bartley may well be tempted to look for a move to Leeds. Up to Rad now what happens next

Probably most likely scenario. We have to face facts we were fortunate to have him on loan for a whole season. I wish him well wherever he finishes up and hope we can find a replacement as good if needed

 

That would likely have been on his old salary. Likely given the season he's had with us, Clement will offer an improved one we wouldn't be able to compete with anyway

 

If money is his reason to sign for Swansea he is not a player we want.

 

They gave him a one year extension, which will expire next summer. Wages won't come in to it. He was loved here - a really cherished captain, and that can mean so much to a player. He has the choice of being a legend here, with promotion to the PL a strong possibility, or he can go back to the club that coached him in bench warming with no guarantees, and relegation looming large over them. And tbh, I think his mum will have a big influence on his decision too. Seriously, she's a big influence on him & knows what's good for her lad. And she seems to love what's been happening at Leeds.

 

Hopefully but still all hinges on getting the takeover nonsense out of the way asap so Monk hopefully can get on with recruitment. One thing we don't need now is weeks of nothing happening again

 

WJ has read this correct and also his friendship with Ayling which goes back years and think they have been living together since he landed in Leeds, 2 families really close.

All down to Rad now but hearing that GFH have moved the goalposts and want more money. This toxic rag head outfit should never have been let anywhere near a football club. The longer it takes Rad to sort it out the more problems Monk will have keeping players

Well considering they already have at least 2 CBs that will be ahead of him and they are probably quite likely to sign at least one more I'd say he's available for transfer but Clement was trying to drive price up. Who knows if we'll pay what they are asking for, they have every right to say at least what we are paying for Jansson, just not sure we'll want to do that or not.

 

Maybe Swansea will buy Ayling so to keep them together

He'll be offered a contract extension. I'm not saying we won't sign him but Clement will want to push the price up so he won't allow us to make the "he only has 12 months on his contract excuse".

 

Seems WBA have backed off regarding signing Taylor, seems they didn't want to go to the tribunal. Some other PL team will want him.
