Haha! On the back of my little joke. I just finally watched this TalkNorwichCity video.

....I've never seen this lad so depressed. It actually made me laugh. (Being able to look back at it, after calming down a little bit). He is close to tears!

Good to see some new possibilities showing up well, as described in the Pinkun:

"Canos triggered Norwich’s opening goal in the 11th minute when he freed Oliveira who cut back infield and rolled in the overlapping Morris to thumping a ferocious strike from the angle of the penalty box above Lee Nicholls."

Oliveira scored a brace and Josh also had a good game and Whittaker and Turner got some game time as well.

Not wishing to rain on your parade, RER, but according to the radio commentary, both sounded slow, ponderous, with the turning circle of the QE2!
Lack of game time, presumably, plus Whittaker recently recovered from an operation.
15 goals scored in the three group matches, though. <ok>
Maybe last night's team should start against QPRcelona? :emoticon-0112-wonde

I was simply noting that they got some game time, Cromer, not that they played well. It was Oliveira, Josh, Canos and Morris that I was highlighting, but rain away if you like. <laugh>

I'm just echoing mother nature by doing so, it's been raining since dawn in north Norfolk - and forecast to last all day long!!

Whittaker was his normal self: i.e., all over the place, out of position and being shown up by the youngsters. Turner looked slow but did okay.

I wish they'd make their mind up whether it's under 21s or under 23s.

Largely irrelevant, seeing as we were allowed to play Turner and Whittaker, who are both 32!
Yet some teams field purely academy sides. Standardisation needed, surely?

I prefer the new system which is a better balance between U21 and to old reserve team system. Each team is allowed to play up to 5 over age players which at least provides a method for senior players to build up match fitness. That is the same for all clubs, so it is standardised. Oliveira, Whittaker (45 minutes) and Turner were our only over-age players.
