Maybe time to get back in , how do you charge a spectator for wearing a poppy ?....Got a sure winner in court IMO .
What needs to happen is countries say enough is enough. With all the history with FIFA we should pull out, I would not miss the world cup that is for sure.
It would only take 6 or so major associations to walk away and there would be no world cup. They form an alternative and all would follow. Just wish the likes of England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Argentina and Brazil had the balls to do it.
Remembrance days are not about war, whether moral or political, but about showing gratitude for the millions who have given their lives with the perception that they are keeping the rest of us safe. Who the hell do these nonentities at FIFA, a corrupt organisation anyway, think they are telling me and my fellow citizens what we can or can't do in this matter.. I am even more annoyed now that the FAW did not allow our players to wear a poppy if they wanted to.
Totally agree at least then they would have been charged with something worth being charged with. But to charge the Faw, because fans wore a poppy is beyond extreme. I just wish football could do something about it. All these money grabbing corrupt ****ers need to realise that with out the sacrifice of millions they would not be in a positon they are in now. Sad ****ERS the lot of them.
We dont have a leg to stand on and no matter that me and everyone else think it is wrong we were informed and knew the rules....There are no If's or Buts that is FiFa's orders so just take what punishment we get and let it go.......It is a pathetic rule but nevertheless a rule by the governing body of football that all clubs must adhere too. We Broke their stupid rule and now we have to face the consequences....
If FIFA told the players to jump off a cliff ...should they . Within THIER rules are mistakes and countries should stand together to bring change to stupid rules that have no part in the sport ...the " Poppie fiasco " is one of those that FIFA strayed into when they shouldn't .
So they are able to tell us what to where to games, what next no jeans no club colours. It is beyond pathetic, to charge Wales because fans had poppies they bought on their jackets.
Yet they are happy to do this with all the problems with racism happening in eastern Europe. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/25/fifa-anti-racism-task-force-russia-2018-world-cup
As hard as you think we have been done by and i agree, Rules are Rules and in anything in life if you deliberately break the rules you have to face the punishment whatever that is...
We were told not to wear poppies on our shirts. We didn't. FIFA can **** right off and I'll be ashamed and disgusted if the FAW back down. If we get threatened with a points deduction etc for making the morally correct decision and the FAW refuse to back down. I'll be the first to applaude them.
But I don't see the rule where people cant wear something on their coats, I am sure there are fans all around the world going to games wearing things that re political and actually against FIFA rules yet nothing is done about it. I get they are probably trying to make an example of the home nations.
England not at the World Cup would be catastrophic for FIFA. They are the major cash cow for the big tournaments with sponsors etc.
