Baggies are on a roll in the recent past. TP will play with 3 or 4 CBs in their Defense.

We should be up for this to continue our streak.

If Matic isn't ready can start with WIllian in the middle instead of Cescy & Pedro out wide.

They are playing will at the moment but I don't see this as too much of a problem for you. I think you'll win it easy enough.

Really depends if we can get an early goal or not. If we can, we should win comfortably. If not, could be a nervy one. I'm going for a 1-0 with a last 10 minute winner from Costa or Hazard from the spot.

The last 4 games they have beaten Watford Leicester Burnley and Drew with Hull, not exactly moving mountains but can be dangerous as they will sit deep and play as we like to counter attacking wise. If we have to force the game as teams sit back and defend in numbers we may well find them hard to break down. They have a huge back line and can call on Chadli for their main creative threat, but I am calling this one 3-0 we just need to carry as we have done recently, especially at home.

Why willian in the middle? He's a much better player than Pedro, he's back in form play him upfront with Costa and hazard.

Fabregas can stay, either that or chalobah.

Sad. But what kind of player is he? Is he a 10? A centre mid or striker? What's his skill set? He's big and quick but beyond that I'm stumped tbh.

I understand conte wanted him to be a striker, and then he got injured.

    I think he'll be a 2017/2018 player. And that's ok.

Going to disagree. This is the exact game we need the likes of Pedro. Willian is great for keeping the ball when we do not have much possession. Against a side like WBA, we need to move the ball quickly and someone who will make intelligent and unselfish runs to move their defence about. Willian for all his talents does not do this. Pedro does

Pedro may be exactly what is required against West Brom's huge back line, but as they will more likely sit very deep, running in behind them will be difficult as the space will not be there. Pulis if nothing else, knows the strengths and weaknesses of his teams and will set them up to soak it up and try to counter quickly should the opportunity arise, so Pedro, I would play higher up the field, it's as usual with Hazard. Costa with his new found discipline will be a nightmare for their Leviathan defence and they will be hell bound on provoking him, and hopefully forget to mark our little crackers. We will certainly need our passing game to be as good as it can be so Fabregas should start. I may be wrong (and usually are) but we may see the first formation change since the winning run started. 4-3-3 may be the best way to beat them. They (Pulis) will not be expecting it, and we could always revert to the system that has brought us success should it not bear fruit. Hope Pulis doesn't read this. Forza Azzure'.

ps. If you think I'm talking bollock's feel free to say so, but don't question my loyalty to the cause. Thanks in advance.

It's precisely why you need runners. If they defend deep, you need the runners to move the defence around and to get in behind.

Willian is great for possession and effort but all his work is IN FRONT of the defence. West brom will love that. Still think 3-4-3 should be kept with, they won't know how to play against it and having the 2 dms and 3 cbs will make us more solid and allow pedro and hazard to roam so successfully (either to middle or to the wing) whilst moses and alonso don't need to think about defending as much.

The big question is whether to go with cesc or matic if matic is fit. I'd be inclined to start pragmatic and then bring cesc on. Last thing we want is to get hit on the counter and go a goal down as they can then park the bus even more. Especially with their counter attacking threat with the pace and power they have

I don't mind either Pedro or Willian to be honest, both offer plenty and both are in good form. Fabregas deserves another run on his form last game as well ,if Matic is still crook. Seems the team spirit lifts subs as both Fab and Willian were tops last time out.
On paper, this could be a tricky one, but that's what people said about City !!
We have to win home games like this to win the title, so might as well start tomorrow !!
No prediction on the score for me, though 1-0 will do me just fine.

I won't be surprised if all the Home teams from Sunday games bag 3 or more goals.

Saturday all home teams scored more than 3. Is that some sort of record?

Baggies dangerous on crosses, as expected.

Alonso need to be clinical in final through ball.

Luiz is too casual on quite few times. Need to cut that out.

    Randon robbed him there.

2nd time in 10 mins Luiz screws up. Thank fcuk Rondon pulls the shot inches wide.

Luiz is trying to be too cute and that might bite him in the backside.

Our guys are sleep walking. Alonso, Dave, Moses all making bad crosses.

Baggies time wasting from 20 mins FFS.
