Warnock's worry over attacking duo for Scunthorpe Apr 7 2011 By Yann Tear Scunthorpe v QPR NEIL WARNOCK has concerns over the fitness of two of his attackers ahead of Saturday's trip to bottom of the table Scunthorpe. Adel Taarabt is struggling with a stomach complaint, which almost put his participation against Sheffield United in doubt on Monday, while Wayne Routledge has a slight ankle injury. The Moroccan has not trained this week. He was going to have a scan on Monday, but chose to rest ahead of the game against the Blades instead ââ¬â a game in which he put in a more subdued performance than normal. ââ¬ÅIf he still struggles tomorrow, we'll definitely get him scanned next week,ââ¬Â Warnock said. ââ¬ÅIt may just be a little strain, but we may need a scan to appease his mind. We don't know what it is, though, it's just a pain in his stomach.ââ¬Â Routledge did not train on Thursday as a precaution after complaining of a sore ankle and Warnock may make a late decision based on the state of the pitch at Glanford Park ââ¬â the first of two trips up north, with Barnsley coming up on Tuesday night. If there are doubts, Hogan Ephraim could step in again as he did at Doncaster to good effect when Taarabt missed the match because of his family crisis. Apart from that, QPR have a clean bill of health and Warnock will be hoping the pair will recover so he can name the same side that dispatched the Blades so efficiently. if both are out injured who should we start with?
Buzz, Rowly, Hogan.....Whoever comes in will fit in the team. We are on a decent run and I cannot see changes making too much difference
Somehow I doubt it will be Rowly. But then again, NW did change the best defence in the league catching us all by surprise. Buzz and Hogie would seem to slip into those positions without any change to the system. What price 4-4-2 on Saturday just to catch us all out?
Taraabt was out of sorts in the second half against the Blades and we were more than comfortable, Hogan will be fine and why not start with Buzz? He's got a lot to prove and this could be his opportunity to shine
Miller and Buz Although Hogan scored a good goal against Donny he did not do anything else in the game I was disapointed with him
