I think they're a decent enough side in theory but we've been ****ed in the ass with injuries and it's cost us dearly. If Chelsea had our injury problems they'd be far from the top of the table. Seems reasonable to think that it won't be like that all season for us and a couple of our rivals might have the same problem but at the business end of the season.
Been all over watching them for 40 year, we are SO way off the mark. Dare I say it, Van Annholt. Pickford, Kone, Borini and Defoe, ( Khazri, Rodwell, Coates, Lens. ….Theres only Defoe I would krrp, load of ****e the rest.
Sorry I'll respond again, Saturday night and all that. Again I don't know, 12 years I had a season ticket until this year, I think this is the year we'll slip Breaks my heart to say it
I know they've got a good squad but if they'd had at least half of their best players crippled all season I doubt they'd be in the top four.
You might be right mate and I know what you're saying but wait a bit before giving in eh there's still a long way to go.
We make Burnley look like Barcelona, am I watching a different team ? We capitulate, thats not normal. Reasonable !!!!!!
You're only one game from safety so are a long way from "out of it". A few months ago you looked in far more trouble. The main issue for me is that the jump to 16th is 5 points and you've got some very tough games coming up in the next 8 fixtures (home to Southampton probably being the nicest and only one the bookies would - i suspect - make you favorites for) and I'm not sure you'll get 8 points from them in total (after that there's some nicer fixtures!). If any one of Palace, Swansea or Hull go on a run in that time you could be facing a sizeable gap. Palace have got quite a few very good players and if I was making a combined team of the bottom 4 teams they would feature heavily (Cabaye, Zaha, Townsend, Remy, Benteke, Schlupp. Hell even Ledley, Tomkins, Dann and Puncheon are good players), add in Allardyce and I really feel they are destined to finish midtable. You play there in 2-3 games time, that is a huge game.
I'd get them to close space down quicker, move the ball forward quicker, I'd consider playing some of the kids, I'd not alienate one of our best players to bring in one of my favourites from another club. At the end of last season we had the makings of a good side- all he had to do was pick up where Allardyce left off but he hasn't done that. Like when he took over at Man Utd he wanted to put his own stamp on things immediately rather than let things develop and its been the wrong thing to do.
Which ones? Definitely one (Hull), I'd probably argue Swansea too (though note they are strengthening). The 3rd?
